One thing I’ve noticed while watching animation is the difference between shared roles and hierarchy roles.
Some casts feel built around a central figure. Others feel like multiple characters share the spotlight.
That’s why shows like Code Lyoko, Totally Spies, and Teen Titans are so interesting to compare. A character can be important, central, and memorable without necessarily feeling like everyone else exists beneath them.
I don’t think one structure is automatically better than the other. They’re just different ways of telling stories.
