Hear me out. Hopefully, a fanfiction writer could read this.

What if the real imperial brother didn’t die? This means Loumen was never kicked out, and Lakan was able to buy out Fengxian. Maomao would have grown up as the La Princess, but she’d still be obsessed with poison, since her granduncle would have steered her interest toward medicine.

But! But! What if Jinshi and the imperial brother ended up becoming rivals for Maomao’s heart?
