The wait is over! With great pleasure, we will be running Soukoku Week again, this time from September 8-14 2019!

For this year, we have three sets of prompts for each day. Feel free to be as liberal with the given prompts as you wish; there are no wrong interpretations!

Day 1 (09/08) – peace | trial and error | “baby, then it’s only you can pull me from the waves” – pull me from the waves, AFSHeeN

Day 2 (09/09) – worship | divine comedy | “I’d be the dreadful need in the devotee” – talk, hozier

Day 3 (09/10) – monochromatic | reaching out | “I’m lonely because the snow changed into rain” — slow motion, sakanaction

Day 4 (09/11) – price | debt and repayment | “take a good swing at me and everything is even”  – gun, CHVRCHES

I took my bungou bunnies to yokohama, and me and my friend @ nekolyssi had a little too much fun! Originally posted on twitter, but posting over here too for the memories ^^

aku bunny arrived at the art museum. what happened at this art museum? well, it's not something aku bunny really wants to talk about, but a destined meeting occurred, that's for sure.

Dazai stopped to admire some art.

it left a strong impression on aku-bunny as well.

aku has the best entrances.

aku-bunny didn't feel like showing off, though.

chuuya-bunny thought he was enjoying a peaceful afternoon with the yokohama scenery. but of course dazai-bunny showed up. :D 

no one can say "no" to kyouka-chan, so we all had crepes!

Since it’s already June 3 in some parts of the world, we are happy to announce that our blog is now open for submissions!

Soukoku Week 2018 has officially begun and we can’t wait to share all the amazing soukoku-centric creations you guys have come up with. Have fun everyone!

With the release of Dead Apple and the totally unexpected Fifteen light novel, we mods thought it would only be fitting if some of the prompts this year are inspired by content found from these new materials.

So without further ado, here are the prompts:

New short novels to be released on Dead Apple’s first 2 weeks: The first one is a “what if Akutagawa is in the Armed Detective Agency and Atsushi in the Port Mafia”. The second one is about Dazai and Chuuya’s first encounter.

2018/3/3 (AKA. THE WAIT IS TOO LONG, BONES. AAAAAAAAAAA)

Note: (1) sanpin Can mean low ranked samurai, which can mean Chuuya sees him as a lowly person, but I’m not really sure about that. If anyone has better transliteration/translation please inform me >.>

EDIT; According to Japenese twitter, it’s 3P (3ピー）…. Chuuya called Ango a 3P which is a Japanese slang for someone who participates in sexual intercourse with two other people….. in other word, one person out of a threesome. MY FUCKING GOD.

Edit 2: At this point, I’m pretty sure it’s sanpin rather than sanpi. Low-ranked samurai, people. Not threesome, as sad as it is.

(2) The phrase has no clear subject, so it can either mean If they’re still alive to be saved or If I am alive to save them. The first one fits better thematically, but this one fits the following action of Dazai drinking something (presumably poison)

Hi guys... it’s been awahile, but I wanted to clear this up for all of you.

the CHUUYA LINE in the new BSD PV: 

He says “sanpin” which is an insult that means “no money and no power” and does come from meaning something like a “low-class samurai.” The phrase is kind of antiquated slang, but it was used a lot in older manga.

Here is a JP sub of the PV.

The 3P on JP sources is a joke. It’s an immature joke, because 3P is a search term for porn. Maybe they’re not familiar with the old slang, but 3P means “threesome” as in “3 people.” It doesn’t refer to a single person, but a threesome.
