heads up to all contributors! due to my travel schedule, the march check-ins will have to be sent five days early (march 5). this is in no way pushing up any deadlines, so don't worry!

also: the requirement for this check-in is simply to privately show me your wips (doesn't really matter how complete they are, just that you have something). i'll get back to you within hopefully a week of your response and tell you if everything's appropriate for the zine, answer any questions, etc. the same will go for the april and may check-ins. thank you and good luck!

contributor applications are now CLOSED! if you filled out the form, expect a response via one of the handles you provided. the responses will be from animorphs-30 here on tumblr, animorphs30 on email, or achromazone on discord. all responses will be out sometime in the next 48 hours, and i'll make another post here once i've sent everything out. so, by then, if you submitted an application and for whatever reason didn't get a response, please let me know as quickly as you can!

remember this poll about a potential animorphs zine? well, it's happening! to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the series, i'm proud to announce Animorphs30, a zine to celebrate three decades of animorphs!

if that sounds like something you'd be interested in, please fill out this form!

we're looking for people who can contribute:

art — digital, traditional, or mixed media art pieces/comics.

writing — fanfiction, essays/analyses, poetry, personal stories, opinion pieces

physical media — photos of cosplay, crochet patterns, fanbinding projects, crafts, etc! anything you've created relating to animorphs that doesn't quite fit in the first two categories.

also, keep in mind that:

the use of generative AI in any way, shape, or form is NOT permitted under any circumstances. this is a hard boundary.

anything you submit must be created by you.

animorphs30 is a SFW zine. if you have questions about what is and is not allowed, do not hesitate to ask.

and, of course, anything you submit has to be animorphs-related!

in addition, you are given the option to expand on your answers, explaining why you chose what you did, and these responses may be featured in the zine itself!

Hello!! Is there an infodocument, or a schedule (so I can see if the schedule for this project lines up too closely with other projects I'm working on? I'd LOVE to apply but I'm pretty busy rn and curious about the timeline)

the schedule will be up pretty soon! i was starting to put it together just as i got your ask, actually! stay tuned for that, but for now i can tell you that all submissions will be due on June first, and various check-ins will be scattered throughout the months. hope that helps!

Is the zine going to be physical at all, or just digital?

definitely hoping to get physical copies out at some point! probably not going to be available until a few months after the zine's release, though, if at all.

hi! super stoked for this! i have a clarifying question about physical media - by crochet pattern, dyou mean a pattern that others can follow to make an item, or just any item that's been crocheted? no worries either way, just curious (and thinking about a potential submission hehe) ^-^

both would be allowed as long as they don't break any rules! 👍👍👍
