Life as a 20-something
I am so in love with this picture.
I love the messy hair, and the black under her tired eyes, his unbuttoned shirt. I like the imperfections in this picture yet they’re genuinely smiling and happy.
this is my favourite picture ever
no its too perfect
Be humble, for you are made of earth; Be noble, for you are made of stars.
Serbian proverb (via siriusc)
And kid, you’ve got to love yourself. You’ve got wake up at four in the morning, brew black coffee, and stare at the birds drowning in the darkness of the dawn. You’ve got to sit next to the man at the train station who’s reading your favorite book and start a conversation. You’ve got to come home after a bad day and burn your skin from a shower. Then you’ve got to wash all your sheets until they smell of lemon detergent you bought for four dollars at the local grocery store. You’ve got to stop taking everything so goddam personally. You are not the moon kissing the black sky. You’ve got to compliment someones crooked brows at an art fair and tell them that their eyes remind you of green swimming pools in mid July. You’ve got to stop letting yourself get upset about things that won’t matter in two years. Sleep in on Saturday mornings and wake yourself up early on Sunday. You’ve got to stop worrying about what you’re going to tell her when she finds out. You’ve got to stop over thinking why he stopped caring about you over six months ago. You’ve got to stop asking everyone for their opinions. Fuck it. Love yourself, kiddo. You’ve got to love yourself.

NEW TRACKS: Dr. Dog - ‘Broken Heart’
For those of you who cannot wait for Dr. Dog’s October 1st release of their new album B Room (dude, I feel you), the boys have done something to keep us entertained for the next month or so. They’ve provided us with another track off of B Room, entitled “Broken Heart” and it is the perfect song to jam out in the car to as we enjoy our last days of summer. This head bopping, toe tapping single shows us that their upcoming album could be the best yet. Between the irresistible voice crack in the chorus and the overall good vibes, Dr. Dog proves that they aren’t going anywhere anytime soon. The lyric video showcasing an old school fair makes us truly nostalgic as the weather begins to cool, but “Broken Heart” makes it feel like summer is here to stay.

i’m so in love with this. i can’t even. ah. my favourite feeling in the world is putting your head beneath the water and entering an entirely different place, so peaceful, so quiet. what i miss more than anything when i’m living away from the ocean is being able to duck under and leave all my worries on the surface.
