When photographer Mekhar Kiyoso is in the Africa Museum for a shoot he becomes unsettled as the views through his lens reveal the macabre museum as a mausoleum of his cultural heritage. As he’s being possessed by the artefacts, he remembers being alienated from them. Lobi Kuna (which in Lingala means 'the day after tomorrow' as well as 'the day before yesterday') tells the story of his appropriation of the past in order to project himself into a future.

The Weighing of the Heart is a musical triptych based on the dead ceremony of the old Egyptian culture. It's Van der Aa's new musical production, a personal story based on the new idea of judgement and experience of God for the young generation today. In contrast with her solo performance on debutalbum TROOPS, Van der Aa searched more then 80 musicians to play with her on this second record. WOTH will be released as a threedouble CD in the fall of 2014 and will have its live premiere in an ambitious musicperformance December 4th in de Singel (Antwerp).
