I was thinking about it but most courses are government supported therefore the coursework is set by them and is biased towards their affiliations with meat and dairy industries so it would be taught that people need dairy for calcium, meat for protein etc etc which I DO NOT AGREE WITH soooo I just don't think it would be right for me. Maybe in the future I'd consider doing a course at a private college but not at this point in time! x

Hi! So I've been vegan for about two years now, and my mom has been for around 9 months now. She got a knee surgery around 4-5 months ago and hasn't been healing since then. She talked to her doctor last week and he told her she needs some animal protein. So for the past 2 days she has been eating eggs and fish and dairy and her leg completely recovered today? and she's walking normally. I am so confused? Now she's convinced that this vegan thing is all not true and wants the doc to convince me.

Hey anon unfortunately I can't explain why this has happened but I'm glad your mum recovered although I'm sad it was at the cost of others' lives. All I can say is that if YOU are feeling happy and healthy and are not experiencing any health ailments and you know in your heart that what you're doing is right then continue to do so. Maybe it just wasn't right for your mum or maybe she wasn't eating enough or the right kinds of foods but if you're healthy then there's no reason it should affect you. Maybe get some blood tests done to check that everything's in order and maybe you and your doctor can go from there xx

What places would you recommend visiting in Thailand and Cambodia?xxxxxxxx

In Thailand Pai was my fav, Chiang Mai was awesome and the White Temple was the best temple I saw in all of SE Asia. Unfortunately I never went south so I can't recommend any of the beaches/Islands

Ahhhh Cambodia! My love. Pnomh Penh, although not the nicest city is just really important for learning about the history of the country, make sure you go to the killing fields. It's brutal and heavy but just incredibly important to know about. Kampot was my awesome and make sure you stay at Bodhi villa! Also the islands are gorgeous don't miss them. Enjoy xx

Jellyfish Lake in Palau. Apparently the jellies have lost their ability to sting because of lack of predators in the lake and you can swim with them!

WAIT BUT THAT’S NOT EVEN THE COOLEST PART: These jellyfish carry small populations of algae inside their bodies and derive much of their nutrition from the sugars that the algae produce. The jellyfish follow the sun across the lake each day and rotate continuously, so that the algae are always getting maximum sunlight exposure for photosynthesis. Then at night they dive to deeper parts of the lake so the algae can absorb nitrogen. It’s one of the best examples of endosymbiosis in action and it’s KICKASS.

Did you have any trouble with people pickpocketing or stealing your belongings?xxx

I was really lucky and didn't have anything stolen but I heard of many people who did. To be honest though, you just have to be careful and aware of your surroundings and don't put yourself in high risk situations (i.e. don't wear a shoulder bag in crowded markets, don't put your bag on the floor, lock up your valuables in hostels etc etc) just a little bit of awareness will really help you out xx
