Barefoot girls in prison

I enjoy seeing pretty girls imprisoned and forced to go barefoot. Girls are at their cutest when they look vulnerable, and what better way is there to make a girl vulnerable than to take away her footwear and force her to live in prison?

She just changed into her prison uniform and now she’s looking puzzled at the guard waiting for him to give her prison footwear. Silly girl! Her pretty feet will have no footwear other than dirt and bruises in her cosy new home behind bars.

A very common but little-seen procedure can be seen on these photos - an arrested girl loses her footwear and gets her bare feet shackled. She should get used to her new barefoot life as quickly as possible, because she won’t get any footwear at least until the end of her trial. And in the very likely scenario that she is sentenced to prison she will have to keep collecting dirt with her bare soles for many years, or possibly the rest of her life.

This girl is really desperate - if not to escape her cage, then at least to get a pair of shoes to make her position less degrading. Of course, she will get none. Female prisoners have to be barefoot, no matter if they want it or not.

Another victim of harsh Asian justice. Not only are female prisoners forced to go barefoot there, they are also regularly punished on their bare soles for misconduct. And the prison regulations are deliberately vague enough to allow the guards to flog the pretty feet of the inmates whenever they feel like it.

Not all prison girls deserve living comfortably in a cage! Some need to pay for their crimes with their lives. And, of course, female inmates are hanged barefoot. No reason to give criminals any dignity in their final moments.

This young girl was arrested on charges of drug trafficking - a capital offence in China! At first, she tried to act cheerful and innocent, but the guards quickly made the seriousness of her position apparent by taking her shoes away. She was quite shocked - prison girls are forced to go barefoot in China, so did that mean they were taking her to prison? No, that couldn’t be, they had no proofs of her guilt! That’s what she desperately thought, but she was quite wrong. Before long, she was getting used to her new coarse uniform, and her ankles were feeling the cold of her heavy shackles.

This is now my favourite statue in the world :D It stands in the North German town of Tangermünde and is dedicated to Grete Minde, a girl who was executed there for setting the town on fire. I can’t help but think the sculptor was familiar with Tibool - Grete looks like she jumped out from his pictures. The level of detail dedicated to her chains and bare feet is wonderful. This is one statue I’d like to have in my garden.

Arrested and sentenced in an arid country bordering on the Sahara, she is now forced to live in a tiny cell full of sand. Made blazing hot by the merciless sun, the sand is constantly hurting the delicate blonde’s shackled bare feet, but there’s nothing she can do to protect them! The guards took special pleasure in taking away and destroying her footwear, looking forward to seeing how this spoiled girl will handle living barefoot. She didn’t handle it well, to say the least.

She’s already been chained and left barefoot, but for some reason the guards allowed her to keep her pretty red dress for now. Whatever was the reason, the contrast between the dress and her shackled bare feet is pretty nice.

As she’s losing her freedom, she’s also losing her right to wear shoes. Her new life in prison is promising to be full of sharp stones, broken glass, freezing cold floors, sticky mud and other wonderful things that she didn’t really notice back when she wasn’t required to stay constantly barefoot.

She complained to the guards about her lack of footwear, to her lawyer, even to the warden, but it was all in vain. Time and again they explained to her that female inmates such as her are required by the law to go barefoot in prison.

The labour camp for female criminals is no joke. The pretty inmates wear rotting rags that dozens of girls have worn before them and some were even executed in. They’re permanently locked in chains that serve to humiliate them as much as to restrain their movement. And, of course, it wouldn’t be a women’s prison if the girls weren’t forced to stay barefoot. Even when they aren’t punished on their bare feet, walking on the rocky ground of the camp is a punishment in and of itself.

She’s taken her shoes off already, fully aware of the fact that they’re going to be taken away once she’s taken to the court. Very wise decision! The sooner she gets used to being permanently barefoot, the better.

Living in a cage is bad enough for a young girl like her, but what makes her existence truly unbearable are the guards who often stop by her cage and shamelessly stare at her cute bare feet. Female inmates aren’t allowed anywhere near footwear, so she’s basically a free foot model for the prison personnel!

This Monday I’m leaving on a fairly long business trip. This means that I probably won’t be uploading anything to my blog for some time. But I’ll be checking on it anyway, so please feel free to like and follow in my absence!

Ordered to do it by the guards, this girl presents her dirty bare feet for shackling. She has to wear shackles for all of her court appearances, and today is the sentencing day. It will determine whether she gets life in prison or execution. Either way, she won’t ever wear shoes again.
