Welcomed with affection and love, Rosamund Mary “Rosie” Watson was born no soon after her parents wedding. She was christened nine months afterwards where Martha Louise Hudson, Molly Hooper and Sherlock Holmes accepted to become her godparents.
At the very beginning, her relationship with his only godfather, the great Sherlock Holmes, was not the best – to say the least. He was distant. Always working on trivial cases or obsessed with working out his arch-enemy Moriarty’s posthumous revenge. But that’s nothing compared to what happened next. When Mary took a bullet for Sherlock and then died in her father’s arms, the relationship with his godfather went more distant that it was before.
Rosie was only ten months old by then and she was frequently babysitted by Molly. Sherlock tried his best to go and visit her, see her at least but John instructed Molly not to let him enter the flat.
With the time, when the problems seemed to be gone, John reconciled with Sherlock, telling him he no longer blamed him for Mary’s death and then wishing him a happy birthday. Revived, Sherlock took his deerstalker and headed with John to celebrate his birthday with Rosie and Molly.
Carrying her mother’s names, Rosie received her education from St Marylebone School. She had startling grades and had been the bearer of the Union Jack more than once, one of the reasons why John is the most proud father on the planet.
A few years later, she left her studies at the London Imperial Collegue and joined the British Army. She loved History but she want to make it. Initially, and to her surprise, the only one who supported her decision was Sherlock. John couldn’t beare the idea of having his only daughter out on the battlefield. After several failed attempts to make her study History again at college, he gave up.
Originally only a office code-breaker, Rosie took General Foster’s attention every time she arrived with an deciphered enigma. One night, the officers reunited to have a special meeting. She looked impatiently at her watch, wanting to know what was going on in there. It hit three o'clock in the morning when they told her the news. Rosie became an advisor and tactician at the campus.
With the time Rosie proved that she had not only her mother’s name but her fighting and shooting skills too. Known by wearing red lipstick, heels, skirts, blouses and dresses, Rosie became an agent and trainer of the British Army.
While training the new recruits, she met the Captain Ryan Holbrook. He’s two years older than her and bold. She was charmed by his honesty and kindness. Ryan and Rosie are in a current relationship. They write each other letters while he’s not around in the campus. Their romance goes on through their letters.
No matter what, Rosie will do anything to earn the respect of others. And if that means giving them a punch in their faces, she will do it anyway.
She daily Skype’s with John - since his big fear of losing her. Sherlock sometimes even visits her at the campus, which kind of surprise her. Molly calls often and Mrs. Hudson writes to her too.
