An alternative suggestion for the “Maiden Of Finland”. It is said, that the map of Finland kinda looks like a lady with her arm up. She used to have two, however the Soviet Union conquered the area. It is truly a wonder we got to keep our homeland this big when against us was the feared Soviet Machine.

This year, on 6th of December Finland has been independent for a hundred years. It is a big celebration for us, and I couldn’t be prouder to be a Finn. This country has offered me a nice life with tons of opportunities.

Also two days ago I lost my last living grandfather, who also happened to be a veteran, who worked as a bomb settler. So, rest in peace Olavi. Thank you for doing a wonderful job.

So, coming from me, Happy early birthday Finland🇫🇮 Ei vettä rantaa rakkaampaa💙

P.S. usually the typical finnish woman is portrayed as a beautiful blonde- however the fact is that most of us have a sand shaded hair. :-D hence the brown hair.
