Henrik Harlaut aka El Dolo throwing down at the World Ski Invitational- TWSSF Whistler
It has taken me the whole summer to get down and edit it, but get your stoke on for this season by watching this short edit of my own ski footage. Shot on a contour which in all honesty was a bit of a disappointment. I feel I could of got a lot more quality footage if it hadn't turned off every time it got vibrated or cold. This year its go pro all the way! But enjoy!
Vancouver International & BFI
Just found out that THE PLANTING, a film I worked on last year after living in canada for all of one week, has been invited to screen at Vancouver International Film Festival.

Last day on the Glacier
Today I had the priviledge to end my week of sporting photography by joining James Woods on the glacier on the last day of the season to get some snaps for Planks.
Good, hot day. But not so good on the face and eyes...looking pretty red right now!
This is the last of my Crankworx photo sets. Thanks to everyone who taken an interest.Just a note on the past weeks work.
I have used very little photoshop on these, purely and simply as it was not necessary, the riders were awesome!
Also just incase anyone is wondering I took all these on a Nikon D60 with the bog standard 18-55mm zoom it came with. The only addition to this was a 1.5X telephoto macro and a 1.5 wide angle macro that I bought from the local thrift store.
Thats it, thats all. No fancy equipment, no press pass and no photoshop.
Simple Photography.
Giant Slalom at Crankworx Today. Tommorrow....the big one... cheese rolling & REDBULL JOYRIDE! awesome.. lets hope for some blue bird skies!

Photos of todays Best Trick.
and some more
Photos of today's Jeep Air Downhill race @ Crankworx. First set of photos more to come!
I learnt a few things today when I went to watch the Canadian Open Down Hill.
1. My telephoto zoom macro which I bought from a thrift store is very soft around the edges, unsurprisingly
2. Don't follow the crowd- especially if it led by a shoeless aussie, a dirty grom or a drunken blonde...because walking down the down hill track from hecklefest after its been ridden is very treacherous.
3. You are definitely too close to the action if you get a big splat of mud in your face, and if you don't move your gonna end up getting "Rear Windowed"
and finally
4. I have been shooting in Whistler long enough to be totally unaware of the mud, rain, danger and weird looks as I scramble through the bushes in my ski coat and ski helmet after a day on the glacier
Crankworx 2011 Dual Slalom pictures hot off the press. So stoked for Redbull Joyride!!
Telus World Ski & Snowboard FEST
Wow What an Easter Weekend.
Spent all weekend taking photos of Pro Skiers such as Bobby Brown, Simon Dumont and James Woods for Salomon and mainly for myself! Such amasing events (superpipe, big air, slopestyle) to watch and shoot!
Makes me look forward to Crankworx again this summer.Check out the photos on the photo section, or on my facebook page Anna Lynch Lighting & Cinematography.

It's been a while, since my post. so an update of what I have been up to.
I had the great opportunity to work for Rocky Mountain Production Services, setting up various events around Whistler over Christmas. Met some awesome people and learnt SO much about events lighting (something I had not dabbled in before being from a film background).
And now new for 2011 I am rather excited to have my imdb page with more new listings! Check it out. More updates to come soon!
The finished, graded edit of my latest project is here! (after many exporting issues)

A Cabin in The Woods
So I just shot the footage for Herd Headwear, and it's looking good! Myself and Mike Gamble, my camera man for the day were up early and on an adventure with Inga the brains behind herd headwear, before we knew it.
We drove out to a remote cabin in the wilderness outside Whistler feeling a little nervous. Our original plan had involved a farm and a few people, but the short notice of the shoot had left us with no actors.
However just as we were setting up for our shots, with a new rough plan in mind, a small miracle happened. Out in this remote setting, pulls up a truck with a true Canadian inside. This Canadian miracle was Jarred.
Jarred was heading up to the cabin to hunt for the weekend, and willingly agreed to be our actor for the day. He already had the perfect attire for the occassion, and a rifle, a chainsaw and an axe to boot!
So we go back to our original plan and get some awesome shots. And jarred gets some Herd SWAG.
All in all an awesome days filming! The Video and link to the ISPO Brand New competition will be posted shortly!
XOXO
