Paper Plains is a mobile paper-making studio that teaches free workshops to the public. We focus on hiring young artists from black, indigenous, lgbtqia+, and immigrant communities to lead workshops. Participants and instructors engage in a dialogue about the history of colonialism and invasive plants in Minnesota. The paper that participants make is embedded with native prairie seeds and can be planted at home. The experience helps diverse groups of people find common ground.
