Isaiah 33
“Don’t slide through life. Savor it. Slow down. Be kind. Pay attention. Because this isn’t going to happen again.” Carrie Fisher #nellinoel (at General Store)
You must love in such a way that the person you love feels free.

When was the last time you truly believed you are worth pursuing?
When people say, “I’ve never seen that side of him before” — I want to say, “You have another side too. We all do. You’re just hiding it today.”
It’s ugly to watch someone lash out, blow up, and melt down: but we are all just as capable of the same crimes and cowardice. Please don’t be too hard on others when their worst is exposed, and don’t despise someone whose worst is different than yours. We’re all a little crazy and we all need the same grace.
Set goals so big that unless God helps you, you will be a miserable failure.
Dr. Bill Bright
By His grace, we'll press on <3
There are days or weeks or even months when I read the Bible and there are no grand epiphanies. There are whole seasons of Sundays when I sing praise and feel nothing. There are times of prayer where the silence kills me. There are great Christian books and podcasts that I eat up which don’t budge my spiritual life. There are too many times when I doubt the very existence of God and the sending of His Son. It can all feel like a crazy lie. I’m probably being too honest — but I’ve found that I’m not the only one who feels this way. It’s in those times that I ask myself, “Am I out of love with God somehow? Am I losing my faith here? How do I get back to where I used to be?” But I keep reading my Bible. I keep singing on Sundays. I keep praying. I soak in books and sermons. I serve. I enjoy the company of mature Christians. I enjoy the fellowship of the broken. And you know what? Sometimes the clouds part and God comes through and His love squeezes my heart and I fall to my knees remembering how good He is. Then I read Scripture and can’t stop weeping and I turn on Christian songs in my car full blast and sing loud enough to scare the traffic. I serve with shaking hands and get convicted by those sermons and soak in God’s goodness all over again. So I’ve learned over time: I wasn’t really out of love with God. I’m just a fragile human being who changes as much as the weather. I was setting a ridiculous standard for myself that can’t be defined by self-pressuring parameters. I was tricked by the enemy into judging my flesh. My faith is based on His grace and not my feelings. And I think I need to relax.

Ladies, it’s time we shatter the stereotypes, break down the gender roles and put an end to the idea that we are no more than a daughter, mother, sister or wife (yes, I said it) ––there’s more to you, and more to your life than being married and having children.. There is more to you than your relationship status, more to you than the appearance staring back at you in the mirror and more to you than the title you write before your name. There’s more to you than being someones #couplegoals or #wifegoals. Honey, you were born to rock this earth to the very core; to charge through your days triumphantly - empowered by the very truth that you are a force to be reckoned with, and that you are an existence with intention and a purpose driven life that leaves satan trembling beneath you in defeat. It’s time to put fuel to the flames, to ignite the dreams and wildly fan the boldness you had before anyone stood before you and told you that you couldn’t. This may come as a shock to you, but there is power and excellence found in a woman buried in the word, committed to a life of servanthood that doesn’t involve marriage. Many Christian women go through life under the indirect impression that there’s something wrong with them, simply because they don’t have a deep seeded desire to be married. Let it be known: There is NOTHING wrong with you. No desire for children or marriage? This does not disqualify you from Gods calling. Preach, teach, travel, pray, heal, evangelise, train, create, build, lead: If God wills it, you can do it –– just you, as you are. If your heart is humbled and your hands are serving from a place of surrender, you are positioned for use in Him. Is marriage good and beautiful? Is the joining of two lives something to celebrate? Absolutely; but it does not, and should not, qualify us to be considered any better than anyone else. Be the woman God has called you to be, regardless of where you are or who stands by your side. He doesn’t search the world looking for a marriage certificate, He searches for a trusting heart, in relationship with Him, conformed and committed to upholding His image and name. Stay the path; His heart is for you, just as you are.
