A concept of thermodynamics. An exothermic (exo- outside, thermic/thermal- heat) reaction that releases energy through chemically reacting with surrounding elements. The result is of course heat and a spectacular light show.

We see the opposite of this in an endothermic reaction, where energy is rather absorbed. An example of this is Photosynthesis - where a plant absorbs the suns light energy and converts this to chemical energy that produces our oxygen.

We see this naturally occurring reaction in the Northern Lights or Southern Lights…..regions of the world where the solar wind of the sun’s negatively charged Hydrogen atoms are hitting at the right angle to combine with positively charged particles in our atmosphere (think of it like a battery + & - sides) this “excitement” of particles is just a chemical reaction that results in a killer motherfucking light show that is part of the visible spectrum of light. This reaction happens around the world however it is unable to be seen as it is not apart of visible light (ultra violet rays, xrays etc). Peeps thought this was Aliens for years!!!! ✌🏽😂
