Among the most prominent Roman Catholic Marian titles are:
Mary, Mother of God Mary, the Immaculate Conception
Mary, Queen of Heaven Queen of the Angels Queen of Peace Star of the Sea (Stella Maris) Mother of All Sorrows
The Catechism of the Catholic Church emphasizes the importance of Marian prayers and states:
“ Mary is the perfect prayer, a figure of the Church…. We can pray with and to her. The prayer of the Church is sustained by the prayer of Mary and united with it in hope”.
When we are involved in our May Devotions, we are engaged in a Christian understanding of the human situation.
The Roman Catholic Church celebrates three Marian solemnities which are also holy days of obligation in many countries during the liturgical year. In liturgical order :
December 8 Feast of the Immaculate Conception January 1 Mary, Mother of God August 15 The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary
Among the other prominent Marian feast days and memorials in the General Roman Calendar of the Catholic Church are:
December 12 Our Lady of Guadalupe
February 11 Our Lady of Lourde; May 13 Our Lady of Fátima May 31 Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Immaculate Heart of Mary (Saturday after Sacred Heart of Jesus) August 22 Queenship of Mary September 8 Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary
ANWERED PRAYER....
"I will grant all that shall be asked of Me through the invocation of my Holy Wounds. Dear God, GOOD MORNING LORD! Thank You for all that You give, from the biggest to the smallest, from the miracles that are prayed for to the gifts that I don’t deserve. :) Thank You for all things! Father, You have answered prayers and I owe You my life because You love me completely. May I be able to share part of You with someone today…and tomorrow…and the next day :D . Thank You for the strength and courage. Thank You for the friends and help from those I do not know. Thank You for providing the path and support. As I reach out, I may never touch You but I will surely step and walk on in the direction You call. I especially thank You for the results of the board exam for my son! You answer my prayer..... You give me so much :) . Let me not take this for granted. Help me to reach out to those who are not as fortunate. I cannot sit back. I must move on. I am eternally grateful. I know You want me to go. I pray that I can see the path and to remember to show only kindness to others eventhough they showed the oposite. I pray in Your Holy Name, Amen.
