something something about peter and lucy being lions but edmund and susan being deers, in the same way lions represent strength and courage (and so obviously fit for the golden children of aslan) meanwhile deers represent nobility and peace, a spiritual guide (and so obviously resemble the white stag that brought them out of narnia, whom edmund saw first and decided to hunt, back to reality, where susan ends up stuck, left out).
