Alaska is the real MVP with her feminist views:
On women getting cat-called: It’s annoying. It’s rude, and it’s like men claiming their space like they own you.(x)
On how the media pits women against each other: *when asked about Kris and Caitlyn’s rumored feud* No, I don’t love this because it’s like, of course, as soon as she transitions into a woman they’re like “all women hate each other, no woman could support another woman”. They’re always pitting women against each other, and it’s so typical. I’m sure Kris is tickled fucking pink that her ex is doing well, you know. And I’m sure it goes both ways.(x)
On vaginas:*unlike so many other drag queens* I’m not afraid of Vaginas. I think Vaginas are beautiful. I came out of one.(x)

One thing that is bothering me a little bit. I realize that to the Shameless writers, Debbie is now just a “teenage mother” and that as far as they’re concerned, that marks the end of any other hopes or dreams or ambitions that she might have had. But the thing is that it seems from the way some people have been talking about it, that they agree with that. They kind of agree that a teenage girl being pregnant is the absolute end of her as a person with plans besides being stuck with a kid and trying to get a man. But that’s not true. My sister got pregnant when she was 16. She gave birth exactly one month after her 17th birthday. Yeah, it was not ideal. She struggled a lot. But she never gave up on all the other stuff she wanted to do. Some of it was delayed a bit by having to raise a child, but with the support of her family she did it. She’s 24 now, and she’s almost finished with her degree in public health. I get that Shameless will not be portraying Debbie’s story this way, as they’ve already implied that they can’t even conceive of the idea that a teenager could wind up pregnant but still have academic ambitions and plans. I just kind of need people to not agree with them about this.
no monet, nowhere to gogh.
