Congenitalcervical anomalies are important to consider in the differential of head and neck masses in children and adults. These lesions can present as palpable cystic masses, infected masses, draining sinuses, or fistulae.

Thyroglossal duct cysts are most common, followed by branchial cleft anomalies. A synchronous presentation of both type of cyst and fistula in a same child patient is very rare with no such cases reported in literature till date.

Spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD) is a rare myocardial ischemic disease that threatens patients’ life. Various risk factors are associated with SCAD, such as smoking, severe hypertension and psychological reasons.

Treatment of SCAD usually includes percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), bypass graft surgery or medical therapy depending on the range of dissection. Herein, we report a 70 years-old male diagnosed with dissection in the left anterior descending artery by coronary arteriography.

A 22 year-old male with an unspecified family history of hematologic diseases was admitted complaining of chest pain. A diagnosis of thrombosis of supra-aortic vessels and hereditary spherocytosis was established.

Hereditary spherocytosis is part of a group of disorders of the erythrocyte membrane such as hereditary stomatocytosis, eliptocytosis and ovalocytosis which mainly manifest as a regenerative hemolytic anemia. Its etiology comes from genetic alterations of membrane and structural proteins which disturb the erythrocyte cohesion and stability.

Neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) have been proposed as vehicles for the sensitization of T cells by decreasing their activation threshold. Polymorphonuclear neutrophils (PMNs) activated in vitro may express molecules normally associated with antigen presenting cells (APCs).

We perform the generation of NETs in autologous leukocytes cultures, stimulated with lipopolysaccharide (LPS) or ovalbumin (OVA). We marked of B7-1(CD80) and B7-2(CD86) costimulatory molecules. In LPS and OVA assays CD80 was found colocalized with CD86 in the released NETs at 30 min.

A case report of a 72-year-old female patient presenting with right-sided abdominal pain and back pain, on which initial abdominal ultrasound revealed a hepatic mass.

With the aid of subsequent CT imaging and biopsy, a leiomyosarcoma of the inferior vena cava was found. Palliative chemo-radiotherapy was offered to the patient. The literature on leiomyosarcoma, its presentation in the inferior vena cava and the use of diagnostic imaging has been discussed.

Closed traumatic rupture of extensor tendons of the fingers at the musculotendinous is rare. In fact the common sites of a closed rupture are distal attachment at the distal phalanx as well as at the attachment of the central slip at the base of the middle phalanx.

The diagnosis of these injuries at the latter sites is straightforward.
