My Photography Work!

Hello everyone! I'm Annie and welcome to my photography blog! In the collage above, I am the little camera goblin. Hi! I am not sure how lucrative Tumblr is for photography, but social media times are tough so I am giving it a go. Anyway, I am a photographer from the East Coast of the US. I do mainly cosplay, pet, and toy photography, but have ventured into abandoned photography as well as still-life and conceptual in the past. I do photography as a hobby and professionally as a side gig to my day job and I absolutely love it. I have been a photographer since roughly 2004 and have been shooting portraiture specifically since 2019.

As for the technical details. I shoot with a Nikon D850. As for lighting, I usually shoot off camera flash and use Godox strobes exclusively.

Happy Friday! Here is a toy photography set for you all starring my favorite little Boss Fight Studios Vitruvian H.A.C.K.S 3.75 inch Warrior Skelly again! All effects done in camera using Atmosphere Aerosol for the fog effects. I call this "The Revenant."

A BTS to show the setup of his shot. I used a pan of water to partially submerge the dock and a photo on a screen behind for the swampy setting. I found the photo on pxhere.com. Two simple lights for this one.

And lastly, a little step by step of how I made this tiny little dock out of popsicle sticks, sticks from my yard, hemp, and crushed up leaves.

Not my best work, but that's the point. This is my first ever toy photograph! This Boss Fight Studio Knight of Asperity is the badass little toy that inspired me to try this hobby. Thanks Knight of Asperity! I need to photograph this one again with my current skills. 💀

The backdrop is a photo of a wildfire on my computer monitor and I added the sparks in Photoshop.

How about a Toy Photography post! Here is the Boss Fight Studio Vitruvian H.A.C.K.S 3.75 inch Warrior Skeleton (sans armor) rising from the dead! The ground was made with soil and cinnamon. The background was made with a computer monitor. 💀🩻

One of my favorite sets with one of the best people. Here is Ahhchew Cosplay as Mad Moxxi!

We had the opportunity to actually shoot this character in a bar which was 100% on brand for her. The venue was great and we were able to take our time and really create.

You will see that I work with Ahhchew a lot. She is one of my closest friends and an incredibly skilled cosplayer and model. She made this cosplay herself using a variety of methods. Collaborating with her is one of my favorite things.

Lighting: Key light: Godox AD400pro Rim lights: Godox AD200pro and Godox TT-600 (x2 occasionally) with pink gels

Smoky effects created with Atmosphere Aerosol .All effects, colors, and lighting were done in camera with basic editing done in Adobe Photoshop and/or Lightroom.

Here's one of my favorite cosplays I've made, my Jon Snow! I suppose you could call this one a gender bend. I view it more as "me as Jon Snow." Either way, I put so much love into this one. Jon is one of my all time favorite characters and it meant so much to embody him and take this photos.

A fun fact about the Vestal, she is the only lefty I've ever cosplayed! Have you ever cosplayed a left handed character?
