Symbolism:
The loss of identity to the point where you no longer recognize yourself and are left consumed only by hatred (Leo).
It also represents how Leo, blinded by his resentment and rage, can no longer clearly remember Daisy's face because she is tied to the Project and everything it took from him.
The figures in the background carry symbolic meaning. The Virgin is a clear representation of Daisy, portraying her as a "saint of pity," a martyr, and a doomed savior. The anatomical diagram, on the other hand, comes directly from the Pravitas Project.
Leo carrying Daisy does not only symbolize her literal death. It also represents the loss of Leo's last pure human connection, a bond he ultimately destroyed through his own selfishness and hatred. Yet even before that loss, his mind had already been irreparably damaged; his psyche carried wounds that could never truly heal.
I forgot to mention that I got the phrase "I killed the bitch" from Leo's session lol
An excerpt from Daisy's letters, portraying the cruel reality of a crushed desire: to build a family with a patient from her workplace.
A reality in which she never married the man she loved, and therefore the twins she longed for would never come into existence.
(Yes, I cried while writing that letter; I took it personally.)
relationship goal:
Recreate a new old drawing of her
