I just realised I never posted about when I talked to dylan’s voice actor back in march. better late than never I guess. he was really nice and showed me some behind the scenes stuff from when he was on set working on the mocap for dr3 in the 2010s!

thanks for asking anon! I love answering questions about them ^.^

neo meets dylan in a crappy sports bar in the year 2010 while he’s working as a self-employed and very miserable 20-year-old prostitute. having been in a similar position when she was his age, neo takes him under her wing and he becomes the first of many boys she manages as a pimp. it takes a good couple of years for them to actually start dating because of the 10 year age gap and very obvious difference in maturity to begin with but it does happen eventually. they’re together up until the outbreak in 2021 and they both end up dead after going batshit crazy.

there’s aus and what-if scenarios where they live tho! as of 2026 they’d be 46 and 36 respectively.

thinking about dylan’s defunct smartglass page and how it proves that basically no one wanted to see him get better despite his own efforts to fix things

he had the initiative to go get tested for (and eventually diagnosed with) a personality disorder and was doing the talk therapy treatment for it only to be goaded into bad habits by his own psychiatrist 💔

he went there After the outbreak started. he probably risked his life to go ask for help from someone he trusted to be met with That. also he was probably without his medication seeing as psychiatrists usually treat disorders with meds.

and he hints to parental neglect / mistreatment at work+school in some of his voice lines. no one even Tried to help him Capcom how could you do this to me
