"Mina, I have a surprise." Annie said, gripping the time turner in a tight fist behind her back. She wasn't technically supposed to have this, and had snatched it from some poor saps bag off the floor knowing they couldn't take this matter to the headmaster. She figured Mina would either scold her for this, which would be funny, or be excited, which would be just as pleasing. //jumps into inbox for reasons!
The Hufflepuff looked up from the tiny sanguis rose she was tending to. She’d been gifted with a cut, but she trusted Annie around the flower, which was quite an honor—Mina was actually quite protective of her plants; she and Rune were probably the only ones she’d let see. “What is it?” She seemed excited enough.
Reaching for Annie’s hand—for both comfort and for safety’s sake—Mina grinned and nodded. “Yup!” Realizing she should probably be quiet, she slapped a hand over her mouth momentarily.
Then, she pointed to the forest, looking expectant. Oh, maybe they’d find some non-toxic mushrooms? She’d always heard unicorn dung did fantastic things to fungi.
She was a bit surprised that the other girl took her head, but didn't yank away like she would have if it were any other person... unless perhaps it were Jean, or Bertholdt though neither of them would ever be inclined to do something like that at all. "You don't have to be quiet, classes are in session." Annie said, leading the both of the into the forest.
It was an effort to walk from her bed to the Hufflepuff common rooms. It was even more so of an effort to go from the basement to where the pitch was. That was where Annie would be this time of day, though. Mina was really on the verge of tears. People had whistled at her!! She couldn't handle it, she really couldn't it; it was obvious in the way her arms shook and the uniform she was holding quivered in them. Maybe this whole cheerleading thing was a bad idea... "A-Annie..." she weakly called.
She had just finished with her flying practice when shaking words brushed her ears. Turning, blue eyes widened in surprise at the sight of Mina wearing… a cheer leading uniform. But weren’t those muggle clothes? Annie shook off the thought. “What is it?” It almost looked like the Hufflepuff might start crying.
"I g-got you a uniform. You’re on the team, so out wouldn't reeeally be able to join, but I think you’d wear it well," she explained, offering the silver, green, and white outfit to Annie. If Annie took the outfit, Mina would then try to tug the skirt down a bit shorter.
Ugh, she was getting tights! Or a pretty long pleated version…
Annie's head cocked to the side curiously, taking the fabric from her friend, and feeling it between her fingers. "Why do you want me to wear this if I can't be a cheer leader?" she demanded, gaze flicking back up to the Hufflepuff. "Is it because you don't want to be alone in wearing these things?"

Following was natural. Drawing close behind the shielding tree, Mina wondered what it would be like using the time turner. She’d read that the great Hermoine Weasley used one, mostly for her studies. It was also possibly involved in the escape of Buckbeak the hippogriff, but historians greatly debated that since Sirius Black was involved.
Politics was always politics, no matter what the subject.
When Mina was close enough to Annie, the blonde tossed the chain over her head, and allowed the dial to spin. She watched as a few fallen leaves lifted into the air, and reconnect to the tree, and only one person walk in front of them. As time slowly came to a halt, she removed the necklace from them both.
"Ready?"
A snake in the grass- Sorting
She watched quietly from where a teacher had told her to stand, directly in the middle of the large group, waiting to be sorted. It was alphabetical, and L was behind some, and in front of others. Pink lips pursed in mild annoyance, watching as all the other eleven year old's walked up with shaking hands, and pale faces. The only one that didn't was the Ackerman girl, but she was sorted into Gryffindor, a house the boy she'd shared a train car with had assured her she'd never make it into. What was his name? Reiner?
Whatever, it didn't matter. When a teacher called her name, she walked forward, head not too high, shoulders not too hunched. Annie wanted to appear just above the average in arrogance. That way people wouldn't doubt that she had reason to be a bit more proud then them. She sat on the seat, and felt a hat gently touch the top of her head. Was there a humming sound coming from this thing?
Interesting, quite interesting. Annie froze, keeping her face as calm as possible. She mustn't show fear lest the other students use it against her. Deep rooted self-preservation I see, but mixed with bravery to face whatever you must head on, and without mercy. Ambitious, with a sharp intellect... perhaps Ravenclaw but no... You want knowledge just for yourself... but you're willing to give it to others to help them... Oh? You think that isn't the truth, but the animal you spared and befriended says otherwise...
Such an enigma, aren't you girl? You would benefit greatly by going to Hufflepuff, they could teach you to be yourself. Or perhaps Ravenclaw, who values learning, and knowing more than the next guy, but are willing to pass what they know along to others. Such cunning I see though, used to read those you consider enemies... which everyone is. It sounded like the hat was laughing for a second, to it's own private joke. Perhaps in Slytherin you'll make your real friends, a home torn with strife if you choose it considering your lineage, but it will get you great places. Choose Girl.
Annie's heart was pounding, a drop of sweat making it's way down her spine as people began to whisper. She heard a voice saying this was taking too long. The sorting hat never took this long. She closed her eyes for a second, thinking quickly. What did she want? Herself, knowledge, or greatness? The answer was simple, and the sorting hat shouted it out- "SLYTHERIN."
She stood, but unlike the others who had been sorted there was no deafening roar of acceptance for her. Not for the mud blood sorted into Slytherin.

The Dark Forest?! Mm… there were several unfavorable things, but she loved going out there, for both the plants and the unicorns. She chewed her lip, thinking about it. They were definitely not supposed to go.
But Annie seemed to never be in the wrong, so it was fine if Mina trusted her choices, right? “I-If you go… can I go with you?”
Her head cocked for a moment, considering. It would be considerably safer to bring Mina along, if only to make the smaller dangers scurry away. Annie took her hand, giving it a slight tug as a sign to follow before walking behind a tree.
She slid the time turner down her neck, and started winding. She waited for Mina to join her, so she could spin them both back in time. No time like the present to do this, right?

Mina let out a tiny coo. Of course, she assumed the best. “Oh, nice, Annie!” She was a prefect; Mina assumed the blonde would have checked to see if it was anyone’s before claiming it. “What’re you gonna use if for?”
She looked down at it, hands turning the small instrument around every which way. "I haven't thought about using it... Maybe go into the dark forest while I'm 'in class'. There's supposed to be good ingredients for potions in there."
Catching Up With A Friend// Annie & Bertholdt
Bertholdt’s first response came without him thinking, something he didn’t do often and only did around the two of them. “For everything.” It was an honest answer, nothing he had to ponder over, think about carefully. It was nothing he had to worry or fret about. It was the truth.
If only he spoke it more often.
Annie’s hand cupped itself around her neck, something he noticed she did without thinking whenever she was bothered. He tried not to panic about it - maybe her neck itched, maybe she was thinking about something else - but he had the horrible, grueling feeling that touching her hair was a mistake. Should he apologize for it? Should he just leave it be? Should he not worry about it, or would she want an apology?
She cut him off with a suggestion to swim, and Bertholdt cast a worried glance towards the lake in question.
"W-Wait. Annie!" His eyes went wide as he remembered something. "The squid? D-Do you think we can… can we actually swim? In there?" He’d never read anything about someone being eaten by the giant squid, but of course, the one moment you turned your back on something it tended to happen.
A slight grunt escaped at his answer. For everything. It made her sound like maybe she was a half decent person, or nice. She wasn't any of those things though, even though sometimes her actions were kinder than usual, or words were softened with a backhanded compliment.
Things like that shouldn't be taken as kindness.
Annie glanced up at him, head tilting to get a better view of his face. A slight smile appeared for a fraction of a second, before lips returned to normal. She had missed his worrisome attitude despite the fact it was so different than her own. Perhaps that's why she liked him in the first place, him and Reiner that is. All of their personalities complimented each other some way, if that wasn't a good friend dynamic, then what is?
"There's nothing wrong with swimming in the lake. People do it all the time, Bertholdt." If the squid was actually a threat, it would have no doubt tried to break into the Slytherin common room by now..

She stopped in her tracks for a moment, eying the rose curiously. She'd have to ask Mina for a bloom once it grew larger. Or perhaps... she shook her head, Annie came here for a reason besides gawking at plants. Letting the chain hang on her fingers, the Slytherin brought the time turner out from behind her back. "I found this."
"Evening, Annie." That and his grin were all the warning before he flopped right onto her, where she was sat in the armchair in Slytherin's common room. "How's your potions homework going?" He asked, wrapping one arm around her neck and flashing another grin at her, fully expecting to get slapped any second now.
Reaching up, the blonde grabbed his cheek, pinching viciously until it turned red. She put up with a lot of his antics, but the one thing she wouldn’t allow is him sitting on her lap. “If you want to copy, find someone else Kirschtien.” she told him, pushing against his side to toss him off, the moment she got to her wand she was going to force him to sing using the Cantis spell.
"I AM better than Jaeger." He snorted, rubbing his ear when she let go but he was too wise to complain about it. She did things like that all the time and he kind of got used to it. As long as she didn’t overdo it, it was fine. She was one of the few people he genuinely didn’t mind touching him.
"I am better at drawing. And that little chicken doesn’t stand a chance against me on the pitch. Wand to wand? He’d be down before he’d come up with a jinx, really. But he can have better results in boring stuff all he wants." Jean shrugged, finishing what he was writing and giving the ink a moment to dry before he rolled his essay and stuffed it with his quill into his bag.
"I've heard he's decent with hand to hand combat." She mused, tapping a finger against her knee in contemplation. She would have to test out that little tidbit of information, it wasn't often that she met anyone with even basic knowledge of any physical activity besides quidditch.
"You're lucky Marco and I are interested in the boring stuff Kirschtein." she said, allowing only a slight teasing lilt to come to her usually apathetic voice. No one was around but him to pay attention so she didn't mind letting the mask slip just a little.
Man's best friend// Annie & Sasha
"Of course, whatever you want to do." Sasha responded with a nod, giving her own whistle to alert Ace, who immediately responded. Both of them followed Annie and Mutt to the lake.
"Mutt seems very loyal to you," Sasha noted, trying to strike up a little bit of a conversation before reaching their destination. She didn’t want the walk to be filled with complete awkward silence. And she could really tell Annie loved her companion, so she thought that maybe that would be a good topic of discussion.
"The first time we met, he was intent on killing me for the food in my pocket." She shrugged, brushing fingers through the animals fur, as if the admission was normal. Patting his head as a sign to run off and do as he wanted, Annie sat with her back to a large oak tree, resting in the shade with eyes closed.
"Mutt followed me home after I gave it to him without a fight. Dogs been following me around since then."
Sorry I haven't been active at all lately =A= but I'm back now, and ready to rp! If you want, like this and I'll hit you up for some plotting and what not!
"Almas, come here." Annie ordered, walking across the quidditch pitch towards him. It was just after practice, and she had a few things she wanted to talk to him about.
He had been chatting with another Slytherin, but the moment Annie called him, his posture dropped like a chided dog. He turned to look at her before approaching.
Shit; he was too scared of her to lie right or play word games. “Y-Yes, Annie…?”
He almost salivated at the mention of the fairies. He disliked school for many reasons, but the disruption in his normal dietary routines was a real killjoy.
"You’re welcome." With that, he stood, awaiting dismissal.
She offered a final nod, palming the bottle happily, and walking away without another word. Perhaps she would be visiting Almas more often if her efforts paid off like this even a fourth of the time.
Annie and baby Jean!
Look, how cute they are~ XD
