Nipple Piercings?!
Nipple piercings have become a trend since 2016 and currently in 2017 amongst most commonly young women, ranging around the age of eighteen to mid-twenties. So why are nipple piercings so popular? Everyone has their very own opinion on nipple piercings in all together.
Thanks to celebrities like Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid, Rihanna, and Amber Rose, who are all rumored to have it, nipple piercings have become a huge trend, especially in Los Angeles. Even though its a little difficult to wrap your head around why its so popular. More women are getting both their nipples pierced now than last year when they were piercing just one. The most popular nipple ring to use is the barbells compared to the hoops. They’re more delicate under your clothes and they heal faster because they don’t move around very much. They also allow you more room for healing. It is more common and easier for you to accidentally hit or pull a hoop rather than a barbell. Professional piercers recommend you to go with an internally threaded barbell instead of an externally threaded one because the bar is smooth and won’t create irritation and tiny cuts while going in or out of the piercing.
People who have experienced this piercing say that its one of the most painful piercings but only last about a couple seconds, basically just a fleeting pain. it takes about six moths to a year for the actual piercing to heal. Unfortunately, not all nipples can tolerate the piercing and result in never healing. A warning sign your nipple is rejecting the piercing is a red streak across your nipple. You want to take that piercing as soon as possible or else you might get a horrible scar and that's not something nobody wants to experience. This doesn’t necessarily mean the healing process is a complete nightmare. The first few days it will feel tender but then they will start feeling good but, that doesn’t mean you were lucky enough to have your nipples heal in a few weeks. If you stop taking care of them or start touching and playing with them, that can lead to major issues.
During the first week it is very common for your nipples to bleed so don’t freak out. To take care of your piercing and clean it up you can use gentle soap and warm water, make sure you apply it very gently (emphasis on gently) once per day in the shower, then allow it to air-dry. But most importantly do not and I repeat do not touch it, you do not want to unnecessarily spread bacteria around the piercing. Also make sure to wear a soft cotton bra, like bralettes or comfy sports bra and just relax and forget about it for a few weeks. So if you’re feeling adventurous maybe you get your nipples pierced.
