Ahoy there, ye seem to be a friendly being, I be the gentleman o' fortune anon, it be a pleasure to meet ye. -Pirate Anon
Jessie offered the Pirate Anon a warm smile and just kept hugging Hubert. They were incredibly worried for Hubert’s sake.

Hubert took in a deep breath and exhaled, holding Jessie closer. He was silent for a lengthy moment. “...maybe Damien’s right.”
“What do you mean by that?” Dearil questioned, straightening his posture as Jessie made an audible, nervous squeak- a stim.
“I.. don’t think I’m Hubert...” Hubert finally whispered, glancing away nervously.
“What the fuck do you mean?” Dmitri questioned, growing more anxious by the second.
“It’s.. It’s Hyria.. like Damien said.” Hubert whispered and closed his eyes tightly. “It’s.. It’s funny how I’m everything I wanted to be but I’m not satisfied. I went on this journey to become the best possible version of myself I can be but it’s just.. never enough. Damien calling me Hyria is painful because who I was keeps seeming to haunt me, coming back to bite me.” Hubert wiped away some forming tears while everyone was stunned silent. “It keeps getting harder to say my name is Hubert when there’s always a voice in the back of my mind, telling me otherwise- and that voice always takes the form of Damien’s voice.. and he’s telling me I’m nothing more than a pathetic pink princess.”
There was a lengthy silence in the room. Dearil seemed quietly horrified- the only time he’s had such a strong physical expression. His eyes were widened and he lost his calm demeanor for just those few moments.
However, Dmitri shook his head vigorously. “BULLSHIT!”
“...pardon?” Hubert questioned quietly, seeming dumbfounded from Dmitri’s sudden outburst.
“You’re HUBERT! One of the best men I’ve gotten to know.” Dmitri growled, challenging those views that Hubert had sputtered. Dmitri straightened his posture, similar to Dearil, and somewhat fidgeted with the bandana he wore. “You’re no dumbass Hyria. You’re Hubert and that’s that. I don’t get why my father was an ass about that. Is he blind? He’s...” Dmitri paused for a moment as though he was contemplating saying something aloud. “...he’s wrong.”
Drogo watched in quiet, bewildered awe. He fixed his top hat and observed the others. At a loss of words, that was all he could do.
Dearil patted Dmitri’s back gently like a proud father would do, proceeding to stand to his feet. He walked towards the seemingly ashamed Hubert and knelt down to be more at his level, Jessie having moved to allow Dearil to do so. Dearil laid a hand on his son’s shoulder and softened his gaze, his voice gentle and soothing. “Your name is, always has been, and always will be, Hubert. I just got it wrong the first time. It just took us a little longer than usual to figure that out. I’m proud of you, son, I really am.”
Hubert teared up at those words, his enchanting blue eyes shimmering from the flakes of tears. He could hardly say anything as he stared into Dearil’s pale-blue-almost-silver eyes. Words had escaped him, especially when he glanced towards the bristling Dmitri. He had hardly expected Dmitri to say his father, of all people, was wrong.
“I have something for you.” Dearil whispered softly and pulled his hand away, proceeding to flip it over so the palm faced the ceiling. Shadows warped around his hand magnificently, with enchanting amethyst-purple partnered with oily-black. Jessie watched quietly since they typically didn’t say much, although the small box that formed in Dearil’s hand intrigued them.
Dearil held the box and opened it himself, gesturing for Hubert to close his eyes. When his son complied, Dearil took out a bandana and lifted it to Hubert’s neck, tenderly tying it. “You may look now.”
Hubert gazed down at his bandana and allowed tears to slip down his cheeks towards it. The bandana’s base colors were that of the trans flag, with pristine pink, white, and blue, expertly sewn at the seams. A heart was also sewn into the fabric at the center of the bandana’s front, colored all the colors in the rainbow.
Hubert wiped at his eyes quickly to rid them of tears. A small whisper escaped his lips when he was able to find his words. “Thank you, father... This means a lot.”
“Of course.” Dearil said while straightening, shifting a bit to allow Hubert to hug him. He wrapped a single arm around Hubert and sighed in contentment, also glancing towards Dmitri during the hug. To Dmitri’s surprise, Dearil almost looked proud of him.
