Freighthopping or train hopping is the act of surreptitiously boarding and riding a railroad freight car. In the United States, this became a common means of transportation following the American Civil War as the railroads began pushing westward, especially among migrant workers who became known as "hobos". It continued to be widely used by those unable to afford other transportation, especially during times of widespread economic dislocation such as the Great Depression. For a variety of reasons the practice is less common today, although a community of freight-train riders still exists.

The Gueheva festival is a cultural meeting for promotion of the people Dan which takes place in western Ivory Coast, in the city of Man, known as " The city of 18 mountains ". Created on ashes of Festimak, the festival of masks and traditional dances of Gueheva was back in 2017 after 15 years of absence. Under the sign of the national reconciliation, masks from several regions of the country met there and had competitions of dance to pay tribute in the spirits which, according to the tradition, are reincarnated in masks.

Abandoned wooden Escalator // Le Havre - France
The old escalator of the city of Le Havre was a high-capacity elevator, able to carry up to 6,000 people per hour. From 1928 to 1984, it connected the lower town of Le Havre to the upper districts. At that time, it became the largest European escalator with 356 wooden steps for a total height of 50 meters. Closed since 1984, it is now a listed historic monument and has been waiting for a hypothetical reopening since then.
Thaipusam festival // Malaysia
The Thaipusam is a Hindu festival celebrated mostly by the Tamil community on the full moon in the Tamil month of Thai. In Malaysia, over one million devotees come to the temple at Batu Caves near to Kuala Lumpur.
The festival commemorates the occasion when Parvati gave Murugan a "spear" so he could vanquish the evil demon Soorapadman.
On the day of the festival, devotees shave their heads and undertake a pilgrimage along a set route while engaging in various acts of devotion, notably carrying various types of kavadi (burdens).
Mortification of the flesh by piercing the skin, tongue or cheeks with skewers or hooks is also something common

Abandoned sanatorium // Beelitz Heilstätten - Germany
This hospital complex was built in 1898 as a tuberculosis sanatorium. It was converted into a military hospital during World War I. In 1945, the USSR took control of the facility turning it into a Soviet military hospital. They kept the control of the hospital until 1995. In spite of several attempts of rehabilitation, the largest part of the complex, including the surgery, the psychiatric ward, and a rifle range, was abandoned in 2000.
