good.
I put a garlic clove in in some leftover soil yesterday eve (because I can’t stop putting living things in sand) and it’s already sprouting like 12 hours later!Â
My cactus seedlings that are about 3 months old are also getting their first microscopic spines and I am so proud.Â
And in other positive news, I’ve pestered my flatmates so much with plant facts over time that they seemed to have stopped resisting and and started to be actively interested.Â

I also got gifted some Baobab seeds… like in that huge ass tree. So I’d like to formally invite all your great-grandchildren to have a party under the baobab tree at my great-grandchilds place. Hallucinogenic cacti for everyone.
depends on what the laws are like in belgium! in the US it can vary by state. for example, salvia divinorum is legal in washington state but not in others. that said, i wouldn't worry about it unless you plan on selling your cacti or intend to buy more
I finally found my answer (belgian information got buried under a bunch of American results) and turns out both Peyote en San Pedro cactus are legal here, and turns out one of my huge older cacti is actually hallucinogenic as well, so if it had been illegal than I would’ve been a criminal when I was six.I also saw salvia is outlawed, which I find odd bc weed is okay for own use. (not in coffeeshops but I live one mile from the border with holland so…)Â
Anyone here who’s into weird drugs know if it’s legal to keep hallucinogenic cacti? Like different kinds?… Asking for a friend… who totally doesn’t already own some without checking.
Tephrocactus molinensis
I found two random seedlings next to one of my oldest cactuses? They must be about 6 months old looking at their size, but I’ve never seen them before and I check my cactuses a lot? I guess they were below the sand and got exposed by the last watering. I have no idea which kind they are, because last year this cactus hung below like 5 others, so the seeds could have fallen from any of them, and I don’t seem to remember this one having flowers/seeds?Â
Look at these tiny cactus sprouts! This is pretty much their real size after two weeks. I have no idea which cactus they are, as I randomly took the seed pods of an unmarked cactus in a shop. They will be round, but that’s all I know.
This one is cute, it wobbles when you touch it. (also notice my Andy Warhol figurine in the background, I got it at some outlet for a couple of dollars and it is so shoddy mass produced, I’m sure he’d love it)
