Currently working on a solo game "Kamma's Bestiary: Dryad" that will be releasing on itch for free - I'll put the release date here when I have it, but I am planning sometime in June of this year.

Game update! Portraits are done and rendered, and the sketch for the Big Reveal is all blocked out :DD The game is almost done !!

not to spoil one of the puzzles but... god forbid I just say 'the dryad is magic, don't worry about it' no no I just *had* to spend an hour researching the coloration of cherry blossoms and how to affect them.

like mother like daughter, somehow cerys and dwynwen are always serving while vala and kavi are .. there for sure. (I can't even blame it on drawing men because vala isn't one)

a little late to the party (also not about my art but shhh) but I just listened to Ego Renegade Boy and 1. ouch but 2. this video? amazing???? personal favorite little detail is the blood splatter being over the waist area of the chalk outline and they literally zoom in on it right before the 'oh your poor daughter!'

no clue if that was intentional but it just.. it really hits when you think about how fixated they always are on these "little girls" doing "self-mutilation" or "ruining your chance to ever bear children" and I really like that detail. It's not the focus of the song but its something that holds weight I think.

honestly I'd love to do a whole analysis of all my favorite bits in the video that could be symbolic/implications but there's never enough time :((

I am . still thinking about this song and I can't resist another part that I'm maybe looking too far into but hey that's what art is all about right?

notice how there's way more posters of 'len' than 'rin'? Such a good way to really hammer home a big part of the song - they care more about her "killer" than her. Again, such perfect parallels to real life transphobic arguments. You're nobody before you transition. At most you're "confused" "depressed" or "mentally ill" all labels people give you and do nothing to help with.

but now you've transitioned and everyone is up in arms! how could you! You were better before, it's how you were meant to be, we loved you like that, how could you reject the sweet girl you were!!! And if you let it get to you, and you do decide to detransition even if it isn't what you want all they do is take those posters down, and they're back to not caring.

good news! I got the cool animated map title screen working!

Bad news, it's causing an error that I can't figure out how to fix. Hopefully I'll have a bit more luck when I try again later :((

Got the base maps done! here's the final room, minus the dryad you'll find in there :DD trying really hard to keep this as small-scale as I originally planned but hoo boy. The Urges.

pretty good practice, and the full sized version is on my kofi (for free!) along with a couple of wips and a (low quality, oops) timelapse for anyone interested.

or you could probably just use this one, it won't look as nice though.
