"Oh, you're being so tricky. Do most people find that charming? Or do you like to be annoying?" A blackened tongue slithered out the corner of pale lips. Sin leaned over the other, imposing on space - always too big, always too intrusive into another's space.

"Clearly, I meant the most recent one. Where did you put it? Have you left a mess without cleaning up after yourself like a mischievous child? A child who cannot listen?"

Oh goodness... What was he even supposed to say? That he'd heard someone else there? That would just make her panic and with how little he understood what was happening he wasn't sure if that was even true. It felt like they had been close but... A deep sigh left him as he settled himself under the blanket and he closed his eyes as he tried desperately to calm his thoughts. This was all so much...

"I-I... I-I heard s-something but... I-I... I-I don't know if it was... w-well... r-real..."

"You... heard something..." Calondra repeated, almost horrified. Not for herself or for any possible danger. Not because she now feared him. But because she simply didn't know how to help in this situation. He was changing into... a creature of some sort and now he was hearing voices.

"If you don't mind my asking... what did it sound like?"

The Admiral blinked, unsure at first that he understood that right. It wasn't the first time he'd heard something like that, but it didn't stop that spark of anger that lit up inside him. He was careful to have the decorum to not show it on his face. "Those people are saying wrong." He said, finally. "Poorly disguised envy at the lack of their own skill and initiative. They prefer to think others had it easy than to look in the mirror."

"Most do not appreciate their own reflection. And what of you? Are you one who glances away at the mirror? Are you being truly honest with yourself?" How Rumpelstiltskin enjoyed needling under others skin, picking at vulnerabilities. It made her own deal making that much sweeter when she could press on the sensitive areas. Rosy lips shifted into a faint smirk as she leaned in closer to the Admiral.

To anyone else, Rumpelstiltskin might have seemed like some crazy old bitty in her patchwork skirt and messy wild hair. But something about Axel made Rumpelstiltskin wonder how truly perceptive of - and if he had head rumors of the trickster woman of the woods who was far more than she originally appeared.

A lot of my original races/worlds have a cultural tendency towards nonbinary/trans people being easily accepted.

The Lionborn believe that "you are not your body", so gender isn't tied to the body in any way. Especially about the Priests, since allowing your body to be used by the dead is somewhat common, gender can get confusing when the line between yourself and a spirit can blend. I think if Ari was raised entirely within her culture, there is a good chance she would have added a "they" pronoun at some point.

The Messengers' identities are all pretty much self given. Playing with your identity is welcomed so it's not uncommon for someone to try on different pronouns and keep the ones that fit best. Additionally, when society treats you as a thing and robs you of personhood, a lot of them drop gendered pronouns because it feels too "human".

With the Sinchildren, it's basically a nothing problem if you are trans or nonbinary. They are starving to death. Nobody cares!!! It doesn't affect them at all!!! At the same time, you will hear the most transphobic comments just to get under your skin. Most don't mean it (and to clarify that does not make it okay), but the Sinchildren are not above saying something just to piss you off.

The Wishes, similar to the Messengers, have very flexible identities. Their genders and appearances are largely based off what makes others comfortable or happy. Many do have "default identities" that develop over time and that they return to when not granting wishes, so you will see some Wishes with gendered pronouns.

"Art," Josh says, evidently not bothered by the chatter- because he knows it will end when they have to lock the fuck in and make a clean getaway.

One more sweep, one more check, and he's satisfied. He feels a bit bad for housekeeping, but he can't protect everyone- nor does he want to. Still- hopefully they're given ample time off...or better yet, consider a career change!

Josh briefly thinks about how many hotel rooms he's stayed in might be murder rooms, on that note...There was one not so long ago where they were doing extensive drywall repair and painting in the room at the end of the hall on his floor. The paint smell kept him up late and made him wake up with a headache.

He knows the results of a GSW when he sees 'em. The box spring in the hallway along with the headboard finished painting that picture nicely.

"Okay. Right out the back, same way we came." He's keeping the keycard. He'll shred it or melt it next feasible chance. For now, it's inconspicuous in his pocket. "Down the stairs this time. I'll go first, you follow?"

He would have grinned in response if he had a face, or even just lips, to do so.

Zaychik didn't bother to worry about how many rooms he'd stayed where the walls had seen their share of violence and blood. Partially because Zaychik had been the ones to decorate in the first place. But they'd long given up on feeling more in place among the safe and mundane. Blood simply felt more comfortable on his hands.

"Yes. Of course," Zaychik nodded quickly after finishing up his artistry. With a mock salute, Zaychik nodded towards the door for Josh to head out first. Other than his gesturing, he kept the humor to himself for now. Josh was right - now that it was time to buckle down and lock in - now that the timer was seriously on - they needed to shut up.

He kept his hands free in case they did need to fight. At the same time, they did want to keep their appearance casual enough. Swift, adaptive, but nevertheless inconspicuous. As inconspicuous as a strange man in a mask could be.

"How... how did you do that?" October held the Seed carefully, as if afraid to drop it and shatter it, "Wait, is it magic? Father and Mother say that we shouldn't deal with people who do magic, because it's bad. You're not a bad magic person are you?" Words spilled out, each quicker on the tongue than the next. Despite what she might have said, October wanted adventure and magic. She wanted to be amazed by w new person.

"... Maybe a little magic?"

I think the thing I appreciate the most about you and your depictions is the real care you put into gender and how various muses experiment with that. A lot of rpers (even in queer spaces and fandoms) hesitate towards embracing when gender gets weird and complicated, but you aren't afraid to do that. It makes for much more complicated, but realized, creations who are a reflection on reality (even when they deal with more fantastical elements).

Also, not entirely related, but I want to say it. I absolutely love your art. It's so beautiful.

We haven't done a lot of roleplaying together (we need to change that) but I absolutely love seeing you on my dash. You are one of the kindest and funniest people I have ever met. You bring so much joy and sunshine to this hobby that you should be endlessly proud of yourself. You, with your creativity and enthusiasm, are what make this community so bright. So thank you for being part of it.

We genuinely do need to write together more though. I always think that when I see you on my dash.

You are so passionate about your world building. You have built up this elaborate and heart breaking story, which I admire. You also stand by it firmly, not letting others push away key parts of your portrayal (I admire this so much), like you are so protective of your story! And you should be!!! It's so good!!!

Obviously, I love our relationships like Luna and Lucifer playing warrior cats to our newfound exploration of reluctant trauma bonding between Lucifer and Eve. I know I can write silly threads with you, but I also know I can dig deep and explore key emotional points between our muses.

I am OBSESSED with the ease you write characters with a lot of nuance behind them. You take characters who deal with a lot of dark and philosophical ideas and not only do you play them responsibly and with thought, but you also have fun with them in a way that never feels like belittling what they are doing on a grander scale.

I consider Yeshua and Sin's thread to be one of my favorites, not just with her, but altogether. It is this really vulnerable scene for them both and not something I ever expected to write. You push me to consider what it means for Sin to be loved unconditionally and how that completely disassembles her as a character.

This is mainly for Eve, Cain, and Sin, because they are the ones who consistently run into this problem, but just in case... this can also apply to everyone.

If my lore and your lore conflict, I will try to find a middle ground where both are technically "canon".

What I will no longer do, unless otherwise discussed, is completely change my lore to the point where my characters are acting completely out of character for themselves, especially if I'm the only one doing it.

(If I am creating an AU, because the lores are completely different like placing Ari in a medieval universe, obviously that doesn't count. This is dealing with "canonical" lore situations)
