Frozen 3 was presented during the National Film Promotion Conference in Xiamen, China

It is a major film industry event in China where movie studios, distributors, cinema chains, and filmmakers promote upcoming films, share trailers, announce release plans, and build business partnerships. It is more of an industry and trade event than a public film festival. Disney, Warner Bros., Universal, and other major studios often present their future movie lineups there.

Anddd, Frozen 3 was presented there too!

My friend got the picture below from a friend who wishes to stay anonymous.

They said that during the event, they told everyone to “stay tuned!”, but sadly nothing else was revealed.

Kristen Bell has officially Begun Voice Recording for Frozen 3 | News | Latest Updates

Our Anna, Kristen Bell, has officially begun voice recording for Anna in Frozen 3. She posted an Instagram carousel post a picture of her in the recording stuff with her headphones and mic with the phrase "Icy secrets ❄️", and from another angle with pictures of Elsa and Anna in Frozen I, and Anna and Olaf in Frozen 2, with directors Jennifer Lee and Trent Correy, other crew members and a dog, and Lee and Correy directing Bell:

The caption she's gone with is simply "Back in the Booth!! ❄️ @disneyfrozen". The official Frozen account commented "some things never change 🥰❄️".

It's not stated that it's for Frozen 3 but with Jennifer Lee and Trent Correy being the directors of Frozen 3, it's most likely that. And if the supposed Short, for this October, is an animated feature like the others, she could be recording that alongside Frozen 3.

Josh Gad was also back in the Studio in early February for Frozen 3 in an Instagram post of his, and I made a breakdown post on that too.

Not much to breakdown but we're getting closer to getting more new Frozen 3 content! We didn't get any Frozen 3 updates yesterday at Disney's Comiccon panel as expected but I would expect something small, and enough to keep us fed til October, at D23 in August. Idina Menzel and Jonathan Groff are yet to start recording as far as we know.

They didn't specify any details about the short. All they said was it will kickoff the Frozen 3 prompting era

Ah i see. It’ll be awesome if it does lol especially if they introduce a new main character there especially if that said character is Elsa’s love interest for F3. That’ll give him time to build him up as a character.

It would be amazing if it's 3d animated like previous shorts, but I don't think they'll introduce new characters in shorts, especially not important ones tho.

Our so-thought unrealistic wishes have come true!! They were listening!! A new Frozen short is officially releasing this year in October! I love how Frozen fan fest in annual tradition and something Disney is using wisely. We all wanted a short but never thought we'd get one since we're running up close to Frozen 3 but it looks like that's the perfect time to release a short movie! And if it's to kick off the promotion era of Frozen 3, maybe this short will give us some insight on what Frozen 3 could be about!

Frozen 3 is much bigger than we thought if they're gonna go all out in the promotion and calling it now, their “biggest ever cross-company movie marketing campaign in 2027”!! I don't want to get hopes up to an unrealistic point but this is definitely building the anticipation!! I don't think we're ready for thiss!!

But what are the odds this supposed new "short film" will be any different from the previous two 2d short films released during Frozen Fan Fest 2024 and 2025? I.e. the cheapest possible way to say "look, her's a new short, aren't you happy?" Since this is so heavily focused on marketing products, I suspect we'll see some leaked doll designs again this spring (maybe they'll even re-use those "Summer in Arendelle" designs from last year) and we can expect another YouTube short in October.

I highly doubt this will be anything like Frozen Fever or OFA. Seems like they're just announcing some stuff for Frozen Fan Fest earlier this time.

But I'd like to be wrong! 😁

Good question but I don't think he meant it as YouTube content. He mentioned that there are short form content that stems from products like the 2d animated versions.

But I do see what you mean! I don't know what he does as his role or whether he's loved by Disney fans or not. But I like to hope a little. The only wait to prove it's a 3d film like the previous films, is if we get doll leaks. (I don't know if previous shorts had trailers - I don't remember how their marketing went).

But let's see!

A Frozen 3 update from ECUST Press, who attended a Disney Consumer Products Showcase in China 🔥

Last night, a representative from ECUST Press was invited to attend a closed-door Disney Consumer Products kickoff event.

Afterwards, she shared a post on RedNote, revealing two key spoilers about Frozen 3:

There will be a grand wedding scene for Anna and Kristoff.

A new royal family member will be introduced.

Later, I reached out to her privately to ask for more details. She said she saw an image of a wedding invitation and a side profile of Anna and Kristoff kissing, along with a few other pictures collaged together—but unfortunately, she couldn’t remember them all clearly. She also mentioned that a short montage of Frozen 1 and 2 was shown, though none of it was very long.

Since photos and recordings weren’t allowed at the event, she couldn’t provide any images and could only describe what she saw in text.

Below are my private messages with her (all in Chinese so I just did a quick translation, and I already got her consent to share all the conversations and screenshots):

For the wedding, the first thing that came to my mind when I saw the leak was the Engaging Anna and Kristoff story from the novel All Is Found. Maybe that storyline will actually come true.

The wedding invitation I edited for this story last year:

As for the wedding itself, it was kind of expected. But the “new royal family member” part is completely new to us. At first, we thought it might mean Anna and Kristoff’s child since getting married and then having a kid is the normal progression.

But then we discussed the possibility that it could be Anna and Elsa’s grandmother, Queen Rita. She only appears in some of the books, and she might not actually be dead, since Mari Mancusi, the author of Dangerous Secrets, once mentioned in the Agduna Discord server about five years ago that Queen Rita might still be alive.

And it might also be some new characters, like their cousin (maybe Rapunzel?), a Tangled–Frozen crossover hahah even though that’s impossible lol

Please keep in mind: although this was indeed an official event, it’s unclear which Disney staff member shared these spoilers.

And since Josh Gad recently mentioned that voice recording hasn’t even started yet, I personally feel the script is still being refined.

So with these sudden “leaks,” I can’t be sure how legit they are, just sharing this for reference.

The translation:
