Rock Study

I wanted to explore other ways of presenting the study on the rocks I have been recording, so I looked at photographing them from different angles and trying to play with light to create shadows to experiment with other ideas.

Artefacts - Reconstructing

I looked at reconstructing or repairing artefacts  using resin, I think it works quite well at suggesting it has been repaired, I looked at using rectangles to give the impression of pillars etc.

I was exploring the idea of repairing broken things, so I looked into replicating the ancient Japanese method of repairing called Kintsugi. I think its a beautiful way of repairing objects and keeping their character but also adding that something special to it and giving it another purpose and boosting its quality as an object.
