Today on July 26 is "Ghost Day" in Japan, commemorating the premiere of "Tokaido Yotsuya Kaidan" (The Ghost Story of Yotsuya on the Tokaido) at Nakamura Theater in Edo on this date in 1825 (Bunsei 8). The stamp being introduced here is the "Cultural Figures Series" issue featuring Lafcadio Hearn (Yakumo Koizumi) (2004), an Irish sailor who settled in Japan and collected Japanese folktales, publishing many ghost stories including "Hōichi the Earless" and "The Snow Woman."

Here's a recommendation for one of Kon Shimizu's pre-war picture books:
"Picture Story: Monkey En-chan" A charming picture book depicting the adventures of a young monkey traveling through the mountain path on an errand for his father.

If joy comes, you celebrate; if misfortune comes, you celebrate; if love comes, you celebrate; if death comes, you celebrate. No matter what happens, you should celebrate, because it's the only way to achieve a balanced state of mind, necessary to overcome the duality of life. If your celebration is conditional, you will always be a slave to the situations you find yourself in. Jihad Bakkali https://t.me/DivineSoulsPortal art _by_moonlightcreationsfr
" [La spada nella roccia] T.H.White art _by_universalom_ *********************** “So Merlin the Wizard said: There will come a day when you will understand that the entire universe lives within you. Then you will be a wizard. As a wizard, you do not live in the world; the world lives within you. When this happens, you will begin to manifest instead of attract. And you will understand that you lack nothing, you just have not yet seen within yourself what you are so seeking...” [The Sword in the Stone] T.H.White art _by_universalom_
Copley House (also known as the Forest House with Tower),
A breathtaking masterpiece of organic modernism designed and hand-built by architect and artist Nancy Copley.
Located on a 50-acre forested plot in Accord, New York (at the foothills of the Catskills), this geometric residence is famous for being a 37-year-long labor of love.
Nancy Copley purchased the site and conceived the design in 1972, spending decades personally physically executing its construction.
