Don't you recognise the symbols? What symbols??
I think Dickovny’s reserved demeanor when he’s with his wife in public reflects less a personal regret and more a pragmatic adaptation to the new rules of social acceptance. The image of a pervert is a risk to his “brand” and causes commercial damage. For a famous actor—even one past his prime—his image is a financial asset. Advertising contracts, roles in productions, and engagement depend on public approval—especially from female audiences. And he’s a smart man who knows how to read the room. No wonder he stopped praising Hank Moody and valuing Fox Mulder. With his wife, he realizes he’s reached that stage of physical appearance where he’s no longer just “weird”—a midlife crisis, as it was about five years ago—but has officially become repulsive. The three-decade age difference spans an entire generation (or even two)—that is, the typical father-daughter relationship. One reason the audience’s revulsion is automatic is the Incest/Parental Effect: the brain registers a couple in this “father-daughter” configuration and interprets physical or sexual closeness between the two as something unnatural and perverted.
I doubt that David’s image can be fixed without drastic measures. David is already 66 years old, and it will take him a couple more years to fix everything, especially since David has added the label “a lover of young sugar baby" to the label “sexually addicted.” Who needs an old actor with average talent and an image that repels audiences, who hasn’t had any successful projects for a long time? I think David has already missed his chance to turn things around, and now he’s just pretending to be busy, portraying himself as a singer and poet and appearing in low‑budget films in supporting roles.
This is David’s disgusting behavior towards Mrs. Sugar Baby Duchovny, whom David humiliates with his indifferent public attitude. But she deserved it. If you buy a smartphone, you won’t use it as a hammer. David bought a young body for sex, so he won’t treat her with respect.
Dana Scully.
Not that he cannot cheat. He won't cheat. Not this time. And this in no way has anything to do with love but all to do with money. And He was shamed before and He isn't prepared to tow that line again. He cannot shoot himself in the foot like that again. Young , exploitable spouse. He will role play every cheating scenario
David didn’t feel ashamed when he started sleeping with a girl who was several years older than his daughter. David didn’t feel ashamed in front of his very young son, to whom he should set an example of decent behavior. And do you believe that David will ever feel ashamed? David is furious (like any narcissist) that people are laughing at him and mocking him in the comments, and he’s trying to fix the situation, but David doesn’t care about the sugar baby, because she’ll accept everything he does. I’m sure David has learned his lesson after his divorce from Tea, and he won’t lose money again. If she doesn’t like something, she can leave the millionaire’s house with a minimum of money and start living in a room with a roommate and working at Walmart. David is the boss, and he does whatever he wants.
Dana Scully.
I hope Duchovny doesn’t fall into the trap of vanity in his bid to return to the spotlight and avoids commenting on I Want to Believe. Of the three, Gillian was the only one who came out ahead in the revival: in an industry dominated by million-dollar contracts and a culture of milking franchises to financial exhaustion, her decision to turn down new paychecks to protect her professional dignity and that of her character was a rare and courageous move. Gillian proved that respect for her own work and for the audience had a value that Fox’s money couldn’t buy.👏 Carter and Duchovny, on the other hand, adopted a mercenary stance—willing to produce more episodes regardless of the drastic decline in quality, public rejection, or the ethical appeal of the script.🤦‍♀️🤮
I think David will be talking about Carter’s new/old film. The X‑Files is the only thing that brings him positive attention, and he’s become a big friend of Carter’s, hoping to milk the show indefinitely.
I think Gillian wasn’t just defending her professional dignity and the dignity of her character, whom Carter had turned into someone unknown. Gillian turned out to be smarter than Carter and David and realized that, due to Carter’s poor script, season 11 would fail and Fox wouldn’t renew the show for season 12. She was ready to move on and left the two peacocks with inflated egos behind.
Dana Scully.
I don't think he is tired per se. He is very much aware of how pervy it looks. This is a guy who despite contradictory evidence as to her age when the relationship started pegs it a 24. He is a predator but does not want to be deemed one. Which other Hollywood asshat with a thing for young sexual lovers has tried their hardest to embellish their very young girlfriends? To my knowledge, none. He had such grand delusions of himself and he thought the public held him to the same. Reality has not been kind to him. Normal find in perverse and unsettling. He knows that. I highly doubt he will cheat. He needs a carer for his twilight years. He found one, and he needs to keep her. The "right" age and will still be in good enough condition when he enters his 8th decade.
He isn't too handsy because he knows how unnatural it looks. He knows it gives people the ick save cult and believer.
She was much younger than 24, and that’s what turned many of David’s acquaintances in Malibu away from him — he often appeared in the company of his neighbors, even without Tea. No one wants to be publicly associated not with David Duchovny, but with a sexually addicted old man with a sugar baby.
David was cheating on Tea. Do you really believe that David wouldn’t cheat on his sugar baby? And she can’t leave because she has nothing and nowhere to go, and David knows that. She’ll get half of what David earned during their marriage. Failed tours, failed books, and supporting roles in low‑budget films. That’s not the crazy fees for "The X‑Files" that Tea got in the divorce. So, Mrs. Sugar Baby Duchovny will serve David in exchange for shelter, food, and the hope that he will mention her in his will.
Carter, if he so much as brings a file folder, shoot him.
Jack O’Neill🔥
Dick certainly isn’t keeping tabs on whether or not she’s posting more chapters of Lolita Malibu—and at this point, there’s no one left who cares enough about him to warn him. But she would never back down voluntarily, especially now that she holds the official title of Mrs. Perverchovny: she must have signed some kind of NDA with its own enforcement mechanism, directly linked to financial penalties—including provisions for leaks from people to whom she grants access to their private lives—otherwise, does anyone really doubt that she’d be posting like crazy or using her friends’ accounts, as she did before?
I’m sure she signed every possible agreement before the marriage, and not just a non‑disclosure agreement, especially considering how much money David lost in the divorce with Tea. I think Mrs. Sugar Baby Duchovny got less than she had when she was just a sugar baby for a rich old man. Maximum variety of duties and minimum freedom and rights.
Dana Scullyđź‘€
Perhaps the lack of space and consideration he shows her in public isn’t due to embarrassment, but rather because he’s already growing tired of her—if his fetish is for very young girls, she passed the desirable age range long ago, and by all accounts, she won’t age gracefully like a delicate Jessica Alba. She’s already lost the freshness she had years ago and is on her way to becoming a short, stocky woman with bad skin, excessive lip fillers, and no manners in public. He’ll never have the courage to face public scrutiny and trade her in for a younger version, but he may resent her and make both their lives a frozen hell. And he’ll cheat on the side, if his compulsion is still strong enough. If he managed to grow tired of a beauty like Tèa Leoni—desired by a significant portion of the male population—it’ll be much easier for him to grow tired of his flower shop businesswoman.
David has been cheating on Tea practically from the first year of their marriage, and I don’t believe David has changed. But unlike Tea, the sugar baby will never object to anything David does, otherwise she’ll end up on the street.
Mrs. Sugar Baby Duchovny’s only asset is her young body, but I agree with you that she’s starting to age, and it will happen much faster than before. It’s a law of nature. But if David is too lazy to look for entertainment elsewhere, he always has a young body nearby that’s willing to provide any services. And besides, someone has to take care of the house and walk the dog. Why would David hire a maid (and pay her) if a sugar baby will do it for free and with great diligence?
Judging by how badly David treats Mrs. Sugar Baby Duchovny in public, I’m sure things are even worse in private, especially since David has a difficult and unpleasant personality, according to those who have worked with him. David’s career is going downhill, and he needs someone to blame for it. But David always blames everyone else for his problems except himself, so it’s easy to guess who he’ll blame for it, since there’s no one else around him except Mrs. Sugar Baby Duchovny.
Mulder and Scully.
Chris Carter wants to do his own reboot of The X-Files with Mulder and Scully.
Talking about season 11 and the future of the show: “I think I didn’t give the audience what they expected. And that is left to come. There are four episodes and the last two reboots that were all part of a bigger plan that I hope to reveal to X-Files fans if and when we should do another reboot. (…)
There’s a point at which you need to deliver on a promise. And I wanted to deliver more than the promise. I wanted to give them (X-Philes) what they least expected. I know that sounds somewhat confusing, but I had a bigger plan and it all made sense. It will make sense, and so hang with me.
(…)
HASN'T HE DONE ENOUGH. JUST LET IT GO DUDE. I DON'T SEE GILLIAN COMING TAKING SCULLY ON AGAIN.
Chris Carter can want whatever he wants. But there are two important questions. Who will invest money in continuing the series if the last season was a resounding failure? And the second question. Gillian may return, but her return will be tied to very high demands, and I’m not just talking about the salary. David will return under any conditions. He’s free, and The X‑Files offers a good salary and the opportunity to improve his public image.
Daniel Jackson.
It’s not true what you say about social media and celebrities not being on there. Yea their main account might be for work but they are just humans in the end and they all have some finsta accounts. If you believe no celeb is on social media privately I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you.
Celebrities have private accounts on social media. But if a celebrity has a truly active private account with posts, you won’t be able to identify it, nor the people who follow that account.
