Lunch in the Garden (Oil on Canvas) by the Belgian painter Henri Evenepoel, 1897.
This is extremely AI generated. There are some remarkable inconsistencies in the quality of the painting and figuration here - the way the shoulder on the left seems to wrap itself around the glass, the hand on the table on the right is out of proportion but detailed in a way that no painter of this period would have dared, I could go on. This scene also does not resemble any kind of scene that Evenepoel actually painted. Evenepoel's subjects skew urban, figures are clothed, leisure is not a subject outside of his commercial print works. The stylization of these three figures and their expressions do not in any way correspond with Evenepoel's visual strategies for depicting the figure. Compositionally, this image does not resemble any sort of picture this artist made. It is photographic in a way that wouldn't have been popular in the late 19th century.
This is also just a bad painting. The three figures, if you follow their gazes are not actually looking at one another. The ai has rendered three identical figures and badly.
I am begging you all to do a preliminary search before resharing artworks like this. Evenepoel is lesser known in the canon because he died young and because he was not French. There are fewer resources available to confirm that this artwork is in fact authentic. Historically, this kind of painting should not and in fact does not exist. A cursory comparison between Evenepoel's works found on institutional and commercial gallery websites and this painting make it explicitly clear that he did not make this and that it cannot possibly be a in good faith misattribution to a peer. Using AI to make paintings like this and misattributing them in this way is not "correcting the canon." It is ahistorical and probably homophobic.

my MAN came back into my life and the skies have cleared. the birds are singing. the oceans and rivers and lakes are clean and the air is crisp and fresh. the children are fed and playing in the park, the parents are gleefully watching and conversing. the soup a mother made for her son is warm and healing and reminds him he is home. the animals are quiet and calm and the forest is their shelter. i am whole.
