“He has his good days, sometimes he doesn’t use me as a scratching post when he’s bored.”
Scott was good company, always had been, and he was glad to notice that this could also apply to this version of Scott that he just met. Sure, it was fun to see his reaction when he would narrate parts of their history, but he wasn’t going to crush him and tell him in detail what happened to both him and Cassie where he came from. Even though, it did make him wonder if the Cassie he know showed up in the city and met an alternative version of her dad. Better to leave those questions for a different time.
He was ready to grab the mug once he realised that Scott was about to drop it, luckily, he saved it in the very last moment, which was good, because he was holding one of Tony’s favourites. He couldn’t hate Scott, but it would have made him extremely grumpy and not so willing to carry on that conversation.
“Yep, not kidding you here. You’re in the big leagues, Scottie. You and Hawkeye, yes, the purple tunic man, have this thing, he fires his arrow and you just sit on it - it’s actually really fun to watch, you should try it with either Clint or Ollie now that they’re both here”, he nodded. “You’re much better than Hank, let me tell you that…”
❝ Going to try it. Yeah. You know that’d be a REALLY good idea, if they let me join the team which... Since you’re from the future-alternate reality, then maybe. Right now the purple guy in a tunic doesn’t like me very much so we’ll see whether he shoots that arrow through me or let me sit on it. Anyway, it’s cool. ❞
He waved his hand, with Tony having caught the mug and handing it back to him. After he took the mug down he pulled up a chair and took a seat, it was better to sit rather than accidently drop any more mugs and annoy Iron Man.
❝ So. What do you guys DO here? You know, Avenge things yeah, but what bad guys are we talking about? ❞
