Was just thinking about this the other day. Yeah I have a favorite seat on the bus (middle of the bus, near the back doors, slightly elevated, facing forward), but I don’t get upset if someone is already sitting there, I just pick one of my other favorite spots. Then I realized that most people probably don’t have a favorite bus seat, let alone a series of backup favorites.

Okay, I think this little system is, in theory, good - get another chaperone on the teachers to keep them from going out of line or doing something bad to the children they're teaching. How many artists read this manga and immediately tried to draw similar spells without looking? because I did, and it's goddamn near impossible without knowing the exact size of the paper. I imagine the palm quires must have some sort of physical marking on the bottom or the rim to easily give guidance to these things because wow. That's fuckin' rough.
Fascinating to see witches portrayed in such a positive light. So much so that people in need to help readily go to them.
Less fascinating - Agott seemingly valuing experience over human suffering.
I suppose that's something they kinda have in common though.
Takamine and Kazakami being unwitting foils of each other is just soooo good. And the build up to it was alos crazy smazing considering that it's not really....as hyped up as it could be? They're rivals, they're friends, they're classmates, they butt heads, so on. One of them works so hard. The other seems to get everything easily. One folds under pressure but manages to make everything count. The other has had constant pressure over his life and thus has lost confidence in having life count at all. And I just love how subtle their relationship is, too. How even though Kazakami gives Takamine a migraine, she still does believe in him and doesn't let herself be weighed down by either jealousy or pity. It's camaraderie...and that's all it needs to be. Takamine in some ways valued the pressure Kazakami's existence gave her. Kazakami found a break from his pressures in his high school friendships, Takamine included. And I just think they're neat.
