nikki sixx x fem!reader
fluff fluff and more fluff
a/n : this is set in the early 80s, and nikki and the reader have been together for around 1 year.
As you lay in Nikki’s bed, you can hear his slow breaths as he sleeps next to you, and every once in a while, he moves slightly to get more comfortable. Usually, this means pulling you closer. You’re laying on your side, facing him while one of his arms are wrapped around your waist. The morning light is peeking through the curtains which hang over his small window next to the bed, above the bedside table. You open your eyes to look at him. His face is slightly squashed against his arm which his head is resting on while being tilted down towards you a little.
You watch him for a little before trying to move away from him to get out of bed but his arms tense and hold onto you tightly. You let out a quiet huff.
“Nikki,” you whisper. A quiet groan is all you get in response, his eyes still closed. You give a second attempt at getting up which is unsuccessful once again. “Nikki, come on, I need to pee,” you say. A few seconds of silence follows your words before you feel his arms loosen to let you go.
You wander to the bathroom and take care of your bladder before washing your hands. As you do, you notice Nikki leaning on the door frame watching you, his messy hair covering his eyes slightly.
“I thought you’d be asleep again,” you say, looking back down at your hands under the running water as he walks up behind you.
“Bed’s too cold without you in it to sleep,” he mumbles back, leaning his forehead on the back of your head. You laugh a little at his neediness and shake your hands dry. You turn around in his arms so that you’re body is in between the vanity and him. He looks down at you through squinted eyes as you wrap your arms around his neck and he runs his hands up and down your back.
“Why don’t you go back and get comfortable and I’ll be there in a second, okay?” you suggest softly, looking up at him through your lashes. He closes his eyes and lets his head flop back.
“It’s too early,” he groans which makes you smile. You let out a small giggle and you see him smile, his eyes remaining shut. You admire him for a second before tapping his shoulder lightly.
“Go on,” you say softly. He lets his head fall forward again, a small smile still on his face before he kisses your forehead.
“Don’t be long,” he mutters before walking off.
You smile and run your hand through your hair, feeling a few knots underneath. You turn around and grab your hairbrush that you had decided to keep at his place, along with other things like a toothbrush and clothes, now that you were staying more often.
You brush your hair and tie it up into a bun with the hair tie you always have on your wrist to get it out of your face, as well as Nikkis, before spraying a little bit of deodorant under your arms to feel a little fresher.
You walk back out of the bathroom and into the quiet bedroom to see him back in bed, laying on his stomach. You smile to yourself as you walk over to your side of the bed and sliding in under the covers next to him, sitting up slightly against the head board. He seems to be half asleep but he soon rolls onto you, his body between your legs and his head on your chest.
You move your hands to his hair and you start playing with it gently, your fingers massaging his scalp at the same time, which earns a deep sigh from him.
You know he’ll probably fall asleep again so you close your eyes and sigh quietly which makes Nikki lift his head up for a moment to rest his chin on your chest. You open your eyes to meet his and you smile.
“What?” you ask with a soft chuckle.
“Just wondering why you’d rather sleep than watch your adorable boyfriend,” he teases with a soft smile.
“And who’s that?” you tease back and he rolls his eyes playfully.
“He’s tall, has green eyes,” he describes. “And he’s an absolute catch.”
You shake your head with a smile. “Is that so?”
He smiles as he looks up at you with the green eyes he just mentioned.
“You wanna get breakfast from the diner down the road?” you ask softly, and he nods as his eyes close again, his chin still on your chest.
“After I sleep for a bit longer,” he mumbles, so you move to get more comfortable. You slide down more so that you’re not leaned up against the headboard anymore, and Nikki lays back down on you, his face now nuzzled into your neck.
He presses a soft kiss to the skin of your neck and closes his eyes, so you do the same, letting yourself relax and fall back asleep.
Another hour or so later, you wake up again, but this time to an empty bed. You open your eyes and see that Nikki isn’t there, so you get up and wander out of the bedroom. You walk into his kitchen and find him standing at the counter, facing away from you, making a coffee.
You walk up behind him and wrap your arms around his torso before resting your cheek on his bare back.
“Morning baby,” he says softly.
“Good morning,” you reply from behind him. He turns around to face you with his cup of coffee, and you leave a soft kiss on his shoulder as he does. He takes a sip of the hot liquid before you hold your hands out, silently asking for a sip like you always do.
He smiles and hands you the cup to you and you look down to see that instead of deep brown coffee, it’s paler.
“You drink coffee with milk now?” you ask, looking at him.
“No, but you do,” he says before turning around and grabbing another cup that has his regular black coffee inside. “I heard you getting out of bed so I thought I’d get ahead of you.”
You smile.”Well aren’t you sweet?” you say softly and he leans down closer.
“Always baby,” he says before giving you a gentle kiss. You smile as he pulls back and you walk over to the window in the lounge room to open the curtain.
As the sunlight fills the room, you feel the heat hit your face and you let out a soft sigh.
“You still wanna go to the diner?” Nikki asks from the kitchen, and you turn around to see him still leaning on the counter, sipping his coffee.
“It’s a little late for breakfast but we could get lunch,” you say and he shrugs.
“Who says I can’t have pancakes for lunch?”
You laugh and he watches as you walk back over to stand in front of him.
“I’ll finish my coffee and then we can go,” you say and he nods.
“Deal,” he says before leaning down to kiss you again.
You both walk into the diner, a place for you and Nikki that has become a regular date spot. You head over to an empty booth and sit down across from each other before a waitress comes over.
“Well isn’t it my two favourite lovebirds,” she says, and you look up to see Linda, an older woman who you’ve gotten to know since you and Nikki started coming here.
“How are you Linda?” you ask politely.
“Better now that you sweethearts are here,” she says with a smile. “Now, I’m guessing there’s going to be an order for a vanilla milkshake and a strawberry milkshake?”
You smile and nod as she looks at Nikki. “Extra whipped cream for you doll?”
“You know me so well,” he says which makes her grin.
“And are we doing our usuals for food?” she asks and you shake your head.
“Could I get the waffles today?” you ask and she nods, writing it down on her little notepad.
“Of course you can sweetie, with everything?” she replies and you nod.
“And I’ll have the blueberry pancakes,” Nikki says, passing his menu to her to take away, and you do the same.
“Late breakfast, did we have a slow morning?” she questions with a smile. You and Nikki look at each other with a similar smile and she laughs.
“Oh to be young and in love again,” she says. “I’ll be out with your orders soon.”
“Thank you!” you yell out as she walks off and she waves her hand as if to say ‘don’t worry about it’. You look back at Nikki and he takes your hand from across the table like he usually does. “You think she has a husband?” you ask.
“I’ve never seen a ring,” he says, glancing over at her.
“She might not wear it at work,” you suggest and he nods.
“Well if she doesn’t have a husband, maybe we should set her up with Mick,” he says and you laugh.
“C’mon, I know Mick’s older than you guys but he’s still only like 30. Linda’s almost 50,” you defend.
“He might like them older,” he says and you scoff playfully which makes him smirk.
“I wonder if she has kids,” you ask, going back to the topic of her. “She’d be a good mom.”
He nods. “Yeah, anyone would be lucky to have her as a mother.”
You stay quiet for a second as you think about maybe becoming a mother at some point too and Nikki squeezes your hand. “One day baby,” he says.
You smile. “I don’t know if I could handle any mini Nikki’s running around.”
“All I’m hearing is an opportunity to have some backup when I annoy you,” he says with a smirk.
“And the fact that we’d become a family,” you say and he laughs.
“That too,” he says. “But mostly the backup thing.”
You roll your eyes playfully before Linda comes back with two milkshakes. She places the strawberry one in front of Nikki and the vanilla one in front of you with a smile.
“Thank you,” you both say and she nods before glancing around the diner. Once she turns back to you both, she leans down and lowers her voice slightly.
“So, when’s the wedding?” she asks with a cheeky smile.
You laugh. “Not quite yet,” you say and she clicks her tongue. “But you’ll be the first to know, and to be invited,” you add and she smiles.
“Can I bring a plus one?” she asks.
“Of course! For a husband?” you ask, finally dropping g the question. She shakes her head with a laugh.
“Oh no, I haven’t had a husband for almost 10 years!” she says with a wave of her hand. “But I do however, have quite the handsome date.”
You smile as she winks at you. “Well I have quite the handsome date too,” you say and she laughs again as she glances at Nikki.
“He is a bit of a looker isn’t he?” she teases as the sound of a bell rings from the kitchen. “I better get back to work,” she says before walking away. You turn to Nikki and he has a smirk on his face.
“Handsome am i?” he asks as he takes a sip of his milkshake.
“Very,” you reply which makes his smirk turn into a grin.
