First of all, rude. Why would you make everyone say something like that, me? I’m sure they’re all pleasant.

Second of all, I’m Anyne (pronounced ‘an eye neh’), an amateur artist/writer/programmer/whatever. I’m just gonna post random stuff here. Sometimes my own stuff.

In all seriousness, I imagine if Susie got more than a glimpse in chapter 4, she’d be able to remember it easy. At first this looks like a jumble, but it only takes a sec to realize it’s a date.

The month and day Undertale was first releas— no, obviously not. For one, if this was meant to reference Chara, it’d be 201X, not 199X.

Here’s my theory. Well, more a hypothesis:

This is the date that someone went missing, and the date in the guitar is when December went missing.

It’s… a little hazy, but it’s the only through line we have. We know Deltarune takes place in the 2020s thanks to… I don’t remember but somewhen the year 202X is mentioned, which means that this disappearance took place a long, long time before the events of the game.

After all, if the guitar code is Dess’ disappearance, and Dess’ disappearance is what led to Asgore’s forced retirement, then….. I don’t know, I just finished Chapter 5.

Still, I think this hypothesis has merit, it’ll just take a ways longer for it to gain some ground.

I’m probably not even the first person to come up with this, tbh.
