I didnât realize people were still reading, but I have a lot of free time rn and have decided to come back. Iâll try not to disappear again

Peterâs POV
What am I doing? Why is Wendy coming with me? What was I thinking? I see the mountains of Neverland in the distance so itâs too late now, sheâs here.
âWow!â Wendy is flying beside me holding my arm, even this feels wrong.
âWelcome to Neverland, love.â I have a plan but even I donât like it.
I secretly take her to my treehouse the Boys canât know sheâs here yet, I need to speak to Mariana first.
âOkay you wait here for a bit I need to make sure everything is ready for your welcome.â Iâm whispering, not sure why, but she seems to get a kick out of it. She giggles and sits on my bed crossing her hands delicately in her lap. Next to her on the bed is Marianaâs hair tie thing. I quickly kiss Wendyâs head to grab it inconspicuously and slip in on my wrist.
I flash myself to just outside of Marianaâs tent. She needs to know this isnât anything real, Hook is too close to figuring out that sheâs my weakness, Wendy is to be the bait. Thereâs nothing funny going on. Itâs kind of a fucked up plan but I canât risk Hook taking the one thing keeping me together.
Itâs a good plan.
Why am I still standing outside the tent? Just go in and explain everything, sheâll understand, she will forgive you.
I let out a deep breath and open the flap, itâs dark but I see a body in her bed, itâs not her body.
Felix. Fucking Felix. I shouldâve known, she always wanted him and he never stopped pursuing her. Iâm racing through the trees, fuming, this canât be real. Itâs not real.
âWhat the hell is the matter with you!â Tinker bell stopped me in my tracks.
âWhat?â The shock of her appearance momentarily shook me from my crazed rage.
âLeaving these boys defenseless? Breaking up with Mariana? Going to Earth when thereâs a âdarknessâ there, how stupid are you?â Sheâs clearly pissed but thereâs no way sheâs putting this all on me.
âOh please theyâre well trained theyâre fine, plus youâre the one that pushed me to it. You were right Hook was figuring things out, I was going soft, I just needed to clear my head!â The anger is coming back. âAnd thereâs no darkness, I just couldnât risk her wanting to stay home, and leave me for good.â Iâm ashamed.
âI never said you guys should break up, I know sheâs good for you I just didnât want you to lose sight of your responsibilities.â Sheâs sheepish now and I feel guilty for taking my anger out on her.
âWhere is she now?â
âAt the lake, I warned her youâd be back soon but she didnât seem to care much. Iâm sorry to both of you. Go easy on her.â Tink has never been one to be sympathetic itâs an odd look on her.
âI donât want to be doing this but I have a plan, hopefully she can understand once this is all over. But I have to keep her in the dark for it to work. Can I ask you to be there for her when I canât be?â I hope I can appeal to this new Tink for help.
âOkay.â Is all she says before flying off with a huff.
ââ
There she is, floating peacefully in the water, beautiful as ever. She looks thinner than when I left, she canât be doing good. This breaks my heart.
This is going to hurt me just as much as it hurts you but I promise I will protect you.
âGreat memories here at this lake!â I startle her, âYour naked body always looked best in the moon light, dripping wet.â This isnât a lie I just had to get it out of the way before I get back into character. She rushing to put her clothes on as I approach. She standing with her arms crossed trying to cover herself, but itâs impossible not to look at every inch.
âWhy did you come back?â Thereâs so much sadness in her voice, I stand in front of her and fight the urge to pull her towards me. Then I remember Felix in her bed.
Use the anger, really sell it.
âHowâve you enjoyed sleeping with my best mate for the past few months?â God I hope this isnât true.
âI never slept with him.â Her voice, venomous. So itâs not true?
âOh, of course not, heâs only asleep in your tent cause you guys are the best of friends.â He has always been kind to her, at the least itâs comforting knowing she had a friend these past few months.
âHe is my best friend, and whyâd you go in my tent?â She finally looks at me, I donât even care that itâs with hate Iâve missed her eyes. Her eyes give me the feeling Wendyâs home gave me.
Wendy, stay focused.
I advert my gaze, âI was looking for you.â
âWhy?â She glaring at me I can feel it. I canât tell her now, Iâve decided thatâs a bad idea for now.
âWell Iâm sure you guys must of done something, you know to get over our love that was for not, I know I did.â This lie made my stomach churn.
âYouâre right, we did, lots of fun satisfying activities, but I didnât sleep with him.â She smiles at me, a sickly sweet smile I know she doesnât mean. Then sheâs gone.
I donât know how long Iâll be able to keep this up. All I want is to catch up with her take her in my arms and explain everything. Tell her I never stopped loving her, never wanted to push her away, but the less she knows the better.
I see she left her clothes and decide keeping an item couldnât hurt.
ââ
âOkay Iâm going to make my return announcement, you wait here till I gesture for you to come out ok?â Iâm whispering to Wendy in the forest just outside the camp, she giggles and gives me a kiss on the cheek. I force out a smile.
As I walk into the camp the Boys go crazy. I look around for Mariana and Felix but donât see either of them.
âLost boys!â I shout as I jump onto a table, hoots and whistling respond, âHow Iâve missed you all! I trust youâve been keeping each other in check and playing around to your heartsâ content!â More cheering.
I begin explaining my trips to Earth, the Boys are eating it up, I really have to drive this home. Then I see her, she thinks I donât, sheâs trying to be sneaky but I see her. I wish she had stayed in her tent it would make this easier. âbut nothing could ever compare to Neverland. Though there was one thing about Earth that I wished to have here with me in Neverland. Itâs why I kept coming and going, and finally stayed away for so long. I finally got my greatest desire here to Neverland.â The Boys are clearly confused.
âGents! Lady.â Why couldnât she just stay in her tent? âI want to introduce you to my new passion!â I gesture to the trees and Wendy walks out slowly.
I pull her onto the table with me âBoys! Iâd like you to meet Wendy!â Sheâs blushes and offers an awkward wave and smile. The Boys erupt with laughter and cheers. Mariana has vanished. I canât help but stare at her tent, I want to be in there.
No. She shouldnât have her own tent. She should be in bed with me.
I turn to Wendy, cupping her face, I hesitate. I donât want to kiss her so I kiss her cheeks. She blushes and kisses mine back.
ââ
The party went on longer than expected last night. I donât want to get up but Wendy is going through all of my things so I have to think of a way to get her out of here.
âWould you like to play with everyone today?â I ask rolling over finding her in one of my drawers.
âOh yes I would love to I want to meet everybody.â Excitable.
âOk well I have the perfect job for you then. Follow the boys just south of camp and youâll find our training grounds, there you will hand out weapons; bows, arrows, swords, knives.â I get up and start guiding her to the door, âItâll be fun. Iâll meet you there once Iâve woken up.â With a snap of my fingers I flash her to the forest floor.
Iâll be there when Iâm ready to face her.
