I'd love to ask if you'd be willing to write how Karma would be during a breakup if that's okay. More so on reader breaking up with him. ☆ A. Karma xReader ☆ What if Reader Broke Up with Karma. ☆

As to why someone would break up with him I’d say maybe a heated argument.

Arguments between you don’t happen often, at least serious ones don’t. He’ll argue with you about stupid things to make you mad, sometimes even arguing on behalf of something he disagrees with just cause he knows it’ll get you a little mad.

When you do argue, it can get a little intense because he’s not changing his mind. He finds it hard to compromise When it’s something he like seriously believes in, (ie killing or saving Korosensei)

Also when he’s giving advice- he’s not sugar coating anything or agreeing with you just to agree. He’s very honest, and sometimes can come across as harsh but he means well. He’ll tell you if he thinks you’re wrong.

In his mind he’s saying what’s best for you even though it may not be what you want to hear.

he may seem stubborn but he just values his moral system and isn’t one to lie to make people happy

As he doesn’t hold back during disagreements, maybe something he said came off as mean and that was your last straw.

In the heat of the moment you could say something like, “I’m done forcing you to be with me.”

He’s would try to de escalate but might get some defensive. “I never said that.” And “You always twist my words.”

If you’re stubborn you’d leave it at that and go away.

He gets home upset, he’s reminded of you at every turn. It got to bad he saw bottled water on his nightstand and remembered it’s the one you prefer. Like, you-withdrawals.

He hears a song you like come up on shuffle and he listens to it the full way through even though he told you he hated it. He tells himself he’s too lazy to change it but that’s a lie.

At first he’d tell himself it’s fine , it’s a stupid fight and you’ll call him back tomorrow morning… you’ll tell him you miss him and taking it a step further thinking you need to apologize for being harsh and breaking up over one argument. (He doesn’t get it’s more than that.)

Next morning, no call .The whole class has a group chat and so instead of texting you like a normal, he’s being extra active in the group chat hoping you’ll reply to him. He knows you’re active,

When you reply to anyone but him he just gets even more upset.

He really hates being ignored. Specifically by you, he never ignores you so why do it to him.

You wanted to talk? But he needed to learn to apologize first. It wasn’t fair the other way around.

If you cave easy, Yada, Okano and Rio would be the one telling you to play the long game and let him feel it a little before you talk. Let him come to you.

That morning his parents called since they were on business trips and asked about you, he lied and said you were great and that kept him awake that night.

In person he tried to make jokes around you to see you laugh and fix things from there but every time he’s near you roll your eyes.

He is funny though so you’d probably give in a few laughs and then force yourself to stay mad😭.

He still hasn’t made any actual progress to even process his own emotions. He has a habit of bottling everything up until he has an outburst. With his friends or anyone else he can physically fight out. With you, he obviously can’t, so he just is feeling everything and not saying or doing anything.

He’s extra moody the whole time. During physical training he’s going extra hard with the guys, especially if it’s Terasaka or Okajima (Like it’s there fault 😭)

FINALLY (after some VERY NEEDED intervention) Nagisa would talk to him.

Nagisa sees both sides, he’s telling Karma what his issue is.

Karma tries to act like he doesn’t care but it’s super obvious on his face.

Korosensei catches on pretty quickly. Karma at first, had trouble letting anyone get close to him, so seeing that he let you in and now he feels like he’s lost that, it hurts for sure. He’s just never talked to anyone about feeling that way. He has uncomfortablility around being vulnerable.

He might get people to help, just to talk to you two to support. He’s usually a huge interventionist but he thinks he wants to see you two resolve it on your own, since conflict resolution is key in a long term relationship. He thinks if things get worse he might step in and give a little push. But he believes in you two to figure it out.

Kataoka and Ritsu talk to you first, (think Ritsu in full therapist outfit with a programed fidget toy game on your screen cause she’s going the extra mile 😭)

They’re asking you what happened and how you’re feeling. And you get to vent everything, they tell you, to give him a chance to explain.

Karma has zero experience as much as he thinks he’s a professional. He KNOWS for other people, he can tell when Nagisa and Karasuma are being dense for example. But with you he just freezes, he feels like he can mess everything up in a second which makes him hesitate.

He calls you to meet up, outside your house.

He apologizes and explains that everything he does or says in his mind is for your best interest but he apologizes for making you feel like he doesn’t listen.

He brought you your favorite flowers, and asked you if you could be okay with him again. He’s choking on his words, never like you’ve ever seen him before. That he understands if you don’t want to be with him but that you’re his favorite person and that he doesn’t want to loose you ever. If you want to take him back or not- completely up for interpretation.

The following week was Kaho and [Names]'s scheduled monthly movie night. This time, Karma would be joining, but only for an hour at most. [Name] was sure her two closest friends should get to know each other a little! (And hopefully convince her not to tell anyone, considering she loves to gossip.)

Karma had heard about Kaho here and there. He didn't like her much, or at all. Still, he was willing to hang out if that's what [Name] wanted. Kaho wasn't blind; Asano's feelings for [Name] were clear as day. The only person who couldn't see it was [Name]. That was the main reason why Kaho couldn't trust Karma. Asano and Karma's rivalry bleeds into everything. Kaho couldn't help but feel that this was Karma's way of getting under the student body president's skin.

The room got awkwardly quiet. Karma was sprawled on the floor playing games on his phone while Kaho was on the bed eating the snacks.

"So, guys! Any ideas on what to watch?" [Name] attempted to engage them both in conversation.

"Aren't we going to watch [f/romcom]?" Kaho said, arms crossed.

Karma raised his eyebrow, "I'll make a bet, if you get through a scary movie, I'll buy as much food as you guys want."

"I was gonna make you order us something before you left, regardless..." [Name] narrowed her eyes at him. He shoved her playfully, and she retaliated with 5 times the force he used.

"You're so on. I want pastries!" Kaho was just as competitive, which was something she and Karma had in common. [Name], on the other hand, not so much.

◡̈ ♡ ·˚ ₊˚   About 10 minutes into the movie Name was already holding a stuffed animal as a weapon and Kaho was hogging the bed to use the sheets as a shield.

While [Name] was distracted, Karma snuck up on her. She threw the plushy in his face as a defense mechanism.

Karma laughed at her, "You two have to be joking. Easiest bet of my life". Kaho grabbed the remote and shut the movie off. "Fine, you win, I'm going to spare myself nightmares for later."

Even though the girls did lose, he bought them food anyway. Karma said he needed to make up for draining the life out of [Name].

While they all waited for the food to arrive, Kaho thought it was best to clear the air.

"[Name] I wanted to ask... Asano said you told him you dropped out because you tried cheating on an exam. And then you found a boyfriend that fast after leaving?"

"We've been dating since last year, and I did get caught cheating on the exams." She wasn't a good liar, but she had to keep it up. If she didn't keep her story straight, Kaho would grow suspicious.

"Why didn't you tell me! I'm confused on why you would ever want to put up with that guy, but your happiness matters too."

Karma scrunched his face at the backhanded offense towards him. He looked at [Name] to see if she'd back him up. "He is hard to deal with. Also annoying and rude, and slightly ugly."

Karma threw the stuffed animal right back at [Name].

She laughed but then turned to Kaho, in a more serious manner [Name] spoke "Everyone thinks Asano and I are a thing and refuse to listen to me when I say we're not. Imagine the rumors that would start surfacing."

Kaho opened her mouth to speak, then clenched her teeth together awkwardly, trying to figure out a way to say it.

"Um... you don't have to worry about it anymore. Rumor has it he dropped you because he'd be too disgusted to date an upper-class student." [Name] furrowed her eyebrows, she was finally rid of the title of being Asanos girlfriend- but at what cost?! If anything people should recognize she’s too good for him.

"Awesome! Wait, but please don't tell anyone the cheating thing, it was a one-time thing."

Kaho nodded slowly. "I won't. Asano might, though he has a loud mouth."

Once the food arrived, the Karma left the girls to finish their hangout alone.

   The morning after, Nagisa was at Karma's place. The boys preferred it that way since Nagisa was honest about his mom having a "big personality".

Karma and Nagisa were playing a combat game. And talking, at some point, the topic of [Name] came up.

"I hope Kaho keeps a secret...[Name] doesn't have a lot of friends, and she'd be devastated if she lost this one too."

Nagisa nodded, "She's always been a nice girl, so I never knew why a lot of people didn't like her."

Karma scoffed, "Yeah, more for me. How's your girlfriend, though?"

"Girlfriend?!"

"Oh, I meant girlfriends, Nagisa you player."

"I've never even had a girl like me.” Nagisa shrugged.

"whatever."

"No offense, but how'd you get [Name] to like you?"

"If you wanted advice on how to get Kayano, you shoulda asked [Name]."

"I don't want advice!!"

Karma thinks for a moment, "I just was myself."

Nagisa pressed the keys on the controller gently, "and you didn't scare her away."

"Now I'm curious about the answer too. You should ask her and report back to me."

Karma hit the keys more aggressively, "I WIN."

"That didn't count, I was distracted!?"

"You owe me something."
