Plot: after you tell price your secret you slowly start to fall in love
The sun was setting over the desert as Captain John Price sat atop a small hill, watching as the orange and pink hues of the sky bled into each other in a beautiful display. The silence was peaceful, broken only by the gentle hum of the breeze and the occasional call of a bird in the distance. It was a rare moment of quiet for the seasoned veteran, a time to reflect and decompress after the latest mission.
Price was lost in his own thoughts when he heard footsteps approaching from behind. He turned to see (Y/N), a new recruit on his team, walking toward him. (Y/N) was a young man, not much older than his early twenties, but he had already proven himself to be a valuable member of the team. He had a strong sense of duty, an impressive skill set, and a quiet confidence about him that Price found intriguing.
As (Y/N) drew closer, Price couldn't help but take note of his appearance. He seemed to have lost weight since the last time they met. There was something else different about him too, something that Price couldn't quite put his finger on. It was almost like he was carrying a weight on his shoulders, something that was making him tired and sullen.
"Mind some company, Captain?" (Y/N) asked, his voice cutting through the silence.
Price gestured for him to sit down beside him. "Not at all, lad. What's on your mind?"
(Y/N) hesitated for a moment, looking down at his hands. "I don't know how to say this, but i need to tell someone, look you're the only person I trust with this information ."
Price nodded, a feeling of concern rising in his chest. "Of course, son. You can always talk to me."
(Y/N) took a deep breath, steeling himself. "I'm transgender. I needed to tell someone"
Price remained silent for a moment, surprised by the admission but not judging. He knew that (Y/N) must have been struggling with this revelation for some time. "Alright, (Y/N). Take your time, say what you need to say."
(Y/N) looked up, his eyes searching Price's face for any sign of judgement. When he found none, he continued. "I've been feeling like this for a long time now. Ever since I was a child, I felt like I was in the wrong body. It's just... I didn't know how to express it, or who to talk to about it. But now, seeing all the things happening in the world, with all the people coming out and being accepted, I feel like I can't keep hiding who I really am."
Price listened attentively, his face calm and encouraging. "I understand. It's a difficult thing to go through, but you're not alone. There's a whole community of people out there who feel the same way you do, and they're there to support you. And whatever you decide, know that I'll always have your back."
Tears welled up in (Y/N)'s eyes as he looked at Price, his gratitude and relief palpable. "Thank you, Captain. I... I didn't expect you to be so understanding."
Price patted him on the back. "I've seen my fair share of struggles in my time, lad. I know what it's like to feel alone and lost. But trust me, you're not alone. And if there's anything I can do to help you through this, just ask."
(Y/N) managed a small smile, feeling a sense of warmth and acceptance that he hadn't felt before. "Thanks, Captain. I really appreciate it."
From that day on, Price became a strong ally and confidante to (Y/N), helping him through his transition and standing up for him when others didn't understand. He learned about the struggles that the transgender community faced, the discrimination and prejudice that they had to endure, and the bravery required to live their lives authentically.
Through it all, (Y/N) blossomed into a confident and self-assured man, embracing his true identity and living life on his own terms. And as he grew stronger and more sure of himself, his feelings for Price began to shift from admiration to something different.
He tried to push these feelings away, knowing that they could never be reciprocated. Price was his mentor, his captain, and a man he respected deeply. He could never risk jeopardizing their professional relationship, or embarrassing himself in front of the man he admired so much.
But as the days went on, (Y/N)'s feelings only grew stronger. He found himself thinking about Price at night, about how much he wanted to make him proud, to show him that he was capable and deserving of respect. He also thought about how much he wanted to kiss him, to feel his lips on his own, to tell him how much he loved him.
One day, as they were getting ready for a mission, (Y/N) pulled price aside for a private conversation. "There's something I need to tell you, I know you've been dealing with a lot lately, with training the rookies and everything."
(Y/N)'s heart leapt as he told price his words, his mind racing with the possibilities. 'this is a Bad idea' 'just breathe, is ok' 'what if his laugh at me?'.
(Y/N)'s heart beating so fast, as he was about to tell him how he felt but.. he stops himself before he can. "Nevermind, good luck on the mission"
(Y/N)'s heart breaking slowly, but he held his tongue. Maybe if he holds his tongue long enough he could move on from these feelings.
As they continued on with the mission, (Y/N) kept his head down, trying to push aside his feelings and focus on his job. It wasn't until they were back at headquarters that Price cornered him, his expression unreadable.
"(Y/N), finish what you wanted to say to me."
(Y/N) looked up, his eyes widening in fear. "What do you me-" price cut's him off "I mean finish what you wanted to say on the mission. I'm listening"
(Y/N) took a deep breath, seeming to gather his thoughts. "What I wanted to say is... I like you, sir. And I'm not talking about a rookie looking up to a captain or a friend, but something deeper. I have feelings for you that I can't ignore anymore."
(Y/N)'s heart was racing, his mind screaming at him. He was terrible at telling people how he felt.
But as much as he wanted to be with Price, there were still doubts and worries running through his head.
"but, I don't feel the same way." Price looks at the man in front of him, he was just standing there.
Tear's begins to fall softly, as the man started to shake from the pain of his words. "I understand, I... I'm sorry for the trouble"
The male begins to walk away, as he walks away he starts to think to himself.
I'm not good at endings, but I needed some sad price - 🫧
