🧡 WHAT IS PROP 50? This is a direct response to Texas’s new gerrymandering. Prop 50 will allow California to redraw congressional lines for the ‘26, ‘28, and ‘30 elections. While in a normal democracy, I would think this to be not the way ™, it’s important to recognize what we (everyone) is up against. Newsom is not my favorite politician BY FAR (his response to the homeless for one…), but, I do believe that he is able to hold is ground and fight for Californians. It’s important to not hold any politician on a pedestal, but rather use them as a vehicle to get where we need to go; and we need to go in a progressive direction. Getting /near/ where we need is better than not getting close at all.

I heard this song “V for Vanity” by T H R O N E a long time ago and was inspired to make some art for it, and I finally got around to it. In a time of so much uncertainty we really do need to come together as a united front with empathy and kindness.
