i’m a sucker for hyper-colorful pottery, so these wackily-glazed planters are definitely up my alley! aren’t they aptly named? ;)
I’ve been doing measurements of my body since October. Granted I’ve only done 2 before and today marks the third round of measurements. From my last round in November everything has gone up.
I am so frustrated. I just want to lose weight. Last time I tried for my wedding and it fell off! I guess I need to be super strict again. No dairy, no bread, one cheat a week. Ugh. I felt great when I did that but going back to that just reverts me back to when I did whole 30 thinking that everything is bad.
When I lost a bunch of weight the first time around I was just “eating clean” but now that I’ve done whole 30, whole 30 is all I can think of. It’s put me in such a negative way of thinking when I think of weight.
Also, there has to be some connection with my IUD. There is no way that it doesn’t lead to weight gain because I’ve had mine for a year and it’s been almost impossible to lose weight. When I was on the Nuva Ring the weight fell off when I actually committed to a plan.
WHY IS THIS SO HARD??!?!? :(

If you don't want to throw up at the gym don't drink pre workout on top of some very strong coffee you had with a small breakfast.
Yesterdays "work" 😃💪🏽
Yesterday was a good day health wise and today is the same! I'm proud of getting my regular 100oz of water in finally and starting to already lose water weight. I prepped some meals for lunches and whatever and have been eating healthy and fun (re:avocado and pico on my eggs ¯\_(ツ)_/¯) for breakfast. I've had a great two days so far. I have a wedding on Thursday but since I won't be drinking this month I won't be drinking at it. I know the less I drink the faster I reach my goals (and feel less shitty in general) so one wedding without alcohol isn't going to kill me. Let's do this! 💪🏽😼

Need to get back into shape. I really need to start working out (lifting weights) again like I used to. July will be the start of some great things. Bring it on!
So I’ve been doing a 2nd whole30. I’m about a week in and it is significantly easier than the first one.
The first, I was craving sweets NON STOP. Now I have no cravings for it. In fact today I had a lara bar and had to stop midway cause it was so sweet.
Ugh. I sound pretentious.
BUT the reason I did a second one was because the first time around I didn’t learn my lesson to stop constantly binging and give it a break every once in a while with the junk.
I think it really helps drinking la croix too. I never liked sparkling water before and it’s whole30 approved! I had to acquire the taste but now I can’t go a day without it!
Anyway. I still miss things like pizza.
This time around I’m craving all the savory things but it’s not as significant as my sweets cravings were before.
I’m glad I’m forming better habits. I think it’ll be easier after it’s done to do the whole moderation thing instead of telling myself IDGAF and binge eating then hating myself later.
After this month I think I will become a healthier me and I like that!
I'm starting my second whole30 today!
I’m going to try really hard but there might be a cheat weekend in a couple weeks. I’m going to visit a friend so who knows. I am going to keep going more than 30 days however. I have a wedding in October which I will likely “cheat” again. I know you’re probably thinking what’s the point of calling it a whole30 then? Well I dunno but hey at least I’m making myself accountable all those other days. I’m going to try and stay whole30/paleoish until thanksgiving!!
Here we go!
Dairy intro
Okay so I'll admit it, I went CRAZY on the dairy intro, I started slow then BAM right into it. I had cheese with every meal (breakfast lunch and dinner) and it was SO good.
I made a protein shake out of this stonyfield organic greek yogurt and was SO surprised it had 15 grams in protein for a little cup!
After my lunch I had Talenti Sea Salt Caramel gelato.

That ice cream is my everything now. I ended up having a bowl after dinner as well.
I carefully "watched" how my body would react. I think it was having a weird time digesting a little, (my insides were making all kinds of noises and movements) but I am VERY happy to say I had no adverse effects. Not even bloating or water weight gain!
What is weird though is when I tried corn/rice/non glutenous grains. I bloated like a WHALE. It might have been cause I went out to eat twice that day (I could finally have Chipotle; they cook everything in RICE BRAN OIL) and the day after the corn/rice/etc I gained THREE pounds of water weight and bloat. Luckily I was able to get it down by the next day but MAN.
I did not think that I would have a "reaction" to that. Again though it may have been the sodium so maybe I'll tack on a few extra days to reintro again with my own cooking instead of eating out and eating all that sodium as well.
I have one more official reintro then my few extra reintros (I wasn't able to do beans on the legumes day so I wanna see how that affects me) then I'm done!
This is what the next few days look like for me! The yellow are the reintroduction days, the days after that are back to whole30 for 2 days then another reintroduction.

It’s just a pantry tour, I don’t know about you guys but I LOVE watching what’s in my fridge and pantry tours. It’s just fascinating seeing what people eat I guess?
