Note: The title, again, doesn’t make sense at all. I’m 100% sure about some paragraphs in the lyrics. All the “me”s and “I”s were added by me, except for the “am i being fooled” “am I being laughed at”. Japanese usually omit the subject if the subject is the speaker him/herself. Sometimes it’s hard for me to know who they’re referring to.

Note:  * In the original lyrics, “get bored with” is also passive voice like “clothes taken off”.  “Being got bored with” sounds strange into English, so I changed it to active voice. Passive voice in Japanese, just like in English, implied the meaning of “being hurt” or “being manipulated”.

** Daisuke used 悔しい (kuyashii) here. It’s more than just feeling regretful, but also frustrating and vexing, hoping that I could have done better. Stronger than just feeling regretful.

***In the original lyrics, Daisuke didn’t make it clear who wanted to rest the hurt feet.

Notes:  * Daisuke used アイツ(aitsu) here. This is a rude way of saying “that person”, usually meaning that speaker dislikes this person. Of course sometimes you can refer to your very close friend as “aitsu” to a third person.

**Daisuke didn’t make it clear who or what he hated in his lyrics.

*** I translated the word “姿” (sugata) into “the figure”, but in Japanese it can mean more than “my figure” or “my appearance”. Here it’s more like “my true self”. 

Basically the whole song is about self-hatred. The theme appears again and again in Daisuke’s lyrics. And please ignore the original English lyrics. We all know bad those people’s English can be.

But I’m not 100% sure who Daisuke is talking about. **There is no “you” in the original lyrics. I’m not sure who is laughing here.
