currently watching:  I've been trying to catch up on the past year's releases — watched the "Seasons" with Toby Stephens, a few Chinese dramas here and there. Still haven't finished Zhan Zhao, and I'm only two episodes into Bloody Rivers. I've also had Water Dragon (whispers of fate??) on my watchlist forever, so I might finally give it a go.

If anyone has non-romantic drama suggestions, I'd love to hear what you've got!

Oh, and of course — I've been waiting for One Hundred Years of Solitude! And last week I got completely hooked on a Belgian detective series about Magritte and Dalí. The finale had what might be the single most beautiful death scene in cinema history.

currently reading: Started re-reading Daisetsu Suzuki last week. Mixed feelings so far.

current obsession: Watercolor. I've been watching various Chinese videos on it. Picked up a few new books. Trying to figure out what works and how — and why it affects me so badly.

currently working on: Got a new palm-sized tablet. New art maybe soon? 👀

favourite flowers: It's summer, so naturally I've been spending a lot of time staring at hydrangeas. But really, I'm just a flower person through and through — and I love growing them too. There's nothing quite like the joy of watching something burst into bloom. And I absolutely cannot wait for the wisteria to start. And robinia pseudoacacia, of course. Obsessed with that sweet smell.

ARTISTS BEWARE ⚠️

it happened to me too, folks!

guess it was time! I got scammed.

@mellowsliverprotector (who for some reason can't be tagged) messaged me earlier asking for a commission for their friend's birthday.

we talked a bit about what they wanted, they sent a photo (which now looks AI generated to me actually, I didn't pay it much mind before). The language they were using was a bit weird and their blog is empty so I guess I should have followed my gut instinct and said no to them from the start.

Anyways, they asked me for my legal name before making PP transfer (which I thought was weird because PP works w email and there is no need but I gave it anyways). Now I know why - so they could generate a doctored PP receipt and claim to have transferred the money when they haven't.

Attaching below some parts of our conversations as well as a screenshot of my latest PP transactions.

Please beware & avoid @mellowsliverprotector if you don't wanna get scammed!

(I've hidden my legal name in the doctored receipt below. Another clue that it's fake is that I asked for $28 but for some reason for $27 'transferred')

Driven by the instinct to always check what Ayunga is up to, I stumbled across a program where he’s a tutor — and there’s a whole bunch of young, promising guys playing something like folk music. And well… let’s just say there are plenty of impossibly beautiful Mongolians there. And not only them. This one, in particular, seems to be Daur.
