just saw a "only one bed" fic with the major character death warning
#i guess that's one way to solve that problem
“This bed ain’t big enough for the both of us.”
What is the population of Widow's Bay tho. Like it was founded by about 40 people and a dozen loose teeth and it is not an attractive place. I cant imagine the population pool being huge, and if it's a very small town then the high number of like. Serial killers. Creepy mass disappearance. Spooky sailor stories etc. Cant have made it much more attractive. How many people live here that there was only one mayoral candidate. What is the percentage of people in this city who become murderers. How is there like. Only a handful of people who worry about it. Everyone's fine with the city while simultaneously aware one cannot stop in front of the old hospital, that the inn is like 50 supernatural hazards stacked on top of each other, etc.
Let it be said i love this show even though i wont finish it because i have a low tolerance to horror, but like. I would be interested by demographic statistics.
I mean, the actual answer obviously is: as many as needed for the plot, just like in any show.
But in-universe, there is a working ferry, and maybe fishermen families from the other side of the bay filling the recently emptied houses weren't treated as that much of newcomers since they grew up knowing all the same folklore?
Also in those areas there's always a shipwreck or two, some survivors can stay for good and become either a serial killer or the designated human sacrifice if needed.
And also let's not forget: an island somewhere in New England will never suffer a shortage of writers who only need a little cottage by the sea to complete their next groundbreaking novel. If it comes with some spooky history, that's even better.

These things had taught me, that the only reasonable price for a game is 19,99 PLN.
Anything else is a ripoff xD
I'm going to spend a long time thinking about this one.

Each person's account is given 'credits' which are centrally tracked and if you aren't using any they ask why not.
I aspire to be as passionate about something as this guy and the orcas are passionate about hating the sunfish
In the sunfish’s defense!!!!!
I’m reading this book about the changing arctic and the author stayed with the Nunamiut people of inland alaska for a while and talked to this high school kid who was like “ugh I hate going to school in the spring I wish I was hunting caribou” and I thought that was charming. you often hear about people who are devoted to preserving their traditional culture and knowledge but it’s rare to hear about someone who’s invested in the old ways out of pure teenage selfishness. school is lame and hunting caribou is awesome
ive never been able to take "climb him like a tree" as a sexual innuendo seriously because i picture climbing a tree in my mind and then i picture a tall man in my mind and when i put those two things together im not seeing anything sexual. im seeing like. circus tricks.
