i know it might seem like riot had their gay moment and then immediately after killed them, but they’re alive and well, and actively fight against varus. the end of the new comic shows that they overpowered him and while varus is still there, they clearly are more powerful than him and are looking for a way to get rid of him for good.

About Varus’s new lore

- Valmar and Kai are not the first examples of LGBT+ representation, even in the new lore. Diana is lesbian according to her creator Ironstylus. Also there’s a lesbian couple in the Progress Day story.

- But Diana’s conflicted love for Leona is unrequited, also according to Ironstylus. So Varus and the couple in Progress Day are all we have in terms of actual relationships.

- Remember: the sexual/romantic orientations of almost EVERY other champion are up in the air. (Exceptions: Xayah, Rakan, Zoe, Urgot, Ezreal EDIT: Rumble, Trist, Teemo, Lucian - all straight/bi. Camille and Quinn are both up for debate.) Just about anyone could be suddenly revealed as LGBT+. Also I do believe Evelynn preys on both sexes…
