People on Tumblr love sharing information about themselves no matter how asinine it is. And I'm the same way. Everybody tell me what the last thing you drank was.
they should let me teach people how to be friendly and personable. I'd be good at it trust
Reblog this if you are a CHRISTIAN and PROTESTANT.
If you are a Christian and Catholic, reblog this one.
If you are a Christian and neither Protestant nor Catholic, reblog this one.
Buh. I don't want to create right now.
You know, when I've remarked that a lot of the responses to my posts feel like people are just plucking out keywords they think they recognise based on the shape of them and replying to what they imagine the post says based on that, the possibility never occurred to me that this is actually how many American schools are currently teaching kids to read.
Like, my assumption this whole time has been that when folks go "I misunderstood this post that says [thing] as saying [unrelated thing] because I mistook [word] for [completely different word that happens to start with the same letter]", that was a bit. What do you mean they're teaching kids a reading method that's tailored to produce this exact error?
Three cueing. Once you learn about it, a whole lot of very frustrating online discourse with US Americans makes so much sense 😭
For decades, schools have taught children the strategies of struggling readers, using a theory about reading that cognitive scientists have
If you were taught to read with the three cueing method, and now struggle to read fluently, you can still learn to read properly!

If you're a teenager, you can still use this resource.
Asking Americans specifically: reblog and put in the tags how do you make tea.
mutuals, out of curiosity what season were you born in and what's your favorite season?
To be honest it's a little bit disturbing to me that I keep seeing people trying to convince you to be married when you've been clear that's not something you're interested in (at least at the moment). Please don't listen to these folks, its perfectly ok to not get married and you don't have to force yourself to want it
thanks! I'm pretty used to it tho. The vast majority of people I'm in contact with respond to "I don't want to get married" with "don't give up! you'll find somebody!" or "well it gets harder to find a partner when you get to be over 30" or whatever and so on and so forth. You just. Either you go crazy or you stop letting it get to you
If you ever wanna talk more about the aspec not wanting kids but logically speaking wanting to get married thing hit me up. I was in the EXACT same boat for a long time. And now I'm married, and am slooooowly having my heart changed about the idea of kids, thanks to God, not thanks to any man. Would love the chance to encourage you and pray with you, about this or any other thing. 💚
Thank you!! It IS encouraging that aspec Christian ladies can have healthy and fulfilling marriages.
I wanted kids for a long time when I was younger, and the reason I don't want them now isn't because I want to live fast die young or whatever. Over the past few years I've been dealing with a lot of health issues, both physical and mental, that have left me kinda screwed up. At the current time, I definitely don't think I'm in a place to be a good mother. Is that something I could come to want eventually? Definitely. But right now no.
I also, as I mentioned in my last ask, don't have any desire for a life partner right now. The only thing appealing to me about marriage is financial security, which, isn't really a good reason. Maybe I'll find myself longing for male companionship when I get older, but for now I find plenty of purpose in my life as is, which, as a childless 20-something, leaves me available to serve my community.
What are your qualifications for a partner, if you don't mind?
The most basic ones are
Male
In my approximate age range, and
has the same religious/political worldview as me (baptist-adjacent conservative Christian). I am absolutely not interested in a man who sees the world in a fundamentally different way than I do.
The hardest qualifier to make work with that last one is
Doesn’t want kids. Because I don’t want kids. I’m really not enthused about the kid-making process, either, but that’s borderline impossible to find.
Beyond that, I guess I’m just kind of looking for every woman’s ideal guy. Knows how to communicate. Isn’t manipulative. Is romantic and thoughtful. Is someone I find attractive (physically, tho I’m sure this comes with emotional attachment).
I also would want a guy who, if not already interested in the same things I am, would be willing to give them a try or at least listen to me yap.
And. I went on a few dates with a guy who met all these qualifiers (at least from a first impression) last summer. Truly a 10/10 guy. And I felt nothing for him. I admired that he was a nice guy, but I never felt anything akin to what I assume attraction is, or any kind of emotional attachment in general.
The strongest motivator I have right now to pursue romance is financial. I would like to have a second income, ideally from a man in a field that is a lot more lucrative than where I work. That is. Not a great reason to be binding yourself to another person permanently. And so I will stay single.
I think there is a world in which I fall in love, but I am so insanely picky that I find it hard to believe that 1. my ideal man exists and 2. he and I would ever meet
do me a favor and reblog this and put in the tags what time it is for you and what you're currently doing/thinking about
I wanna know what people assume about me because of my tumblr.
Put an assumption in my ask. I’ll confirm or dispute it. I’m not gonna be mean or anything, I’m just very interested.
//yk what? To hell with it I’m doing this too
As one of eight kids, I don't think I can describe just how it comes across when you play the shocked-and-judgemental "she had HOW many kids??" card. There's this weird calculation to it that I don't think anyone intends, but reads emotionally as an intrinsic threat. Like, okay, hi I'm number five. Am I too many? Do you want me to Not Exist?
Like after I had Burrito and people would say “Oh, so he’s your second, so you’re done now, right?”
Yes but only because I got old. People like you make me want to have five more kids out of spite.
you just teleported to the last game you played how is it going? {you're plot involved}

the thing they dont tell you about learning to "trust the process" is that you forget and relearn it every single time you make a new piece of art. unfortunately there is no cure either
