I love my sillies but I feel like I’m growing a bit distant to them and I don’t wanna lose interest in them entirely so I’m taking a break from them for a bit.

*Maya continues to convulse, her body more and more altered by the second. Her scleras stop being fully white, then become grey, then soon enough full black... Her clothes stretch and rip, especially around her legs, which seem to wrap into one another...*
"W-....Wat...er...."
*The scales in her face glow and expand, the fins in her back suddenly a lot more alongated.*
"okay just stay with me!"
[Ash quickly ran and got water before kicking open the bathroom and filling up the tub]
"Stay with me please.."
[Ash handed her the water while she waited for the tub to fill]
*Maya drinks the water and seems to calm down for half a second, before going back to trembling and suffering. Her tail and legs have fused into one thing, the length being more than half of her total height.*
"I-I'm... here...! D..Didn..t... Le..aave..!"
*She pulls on the rest of what's left of her pants, as they're not really fitting anymore and just making the pain worse. Maya gasps as the fins in her back seem to become a full blown skeleton-like structure on her back.*
"Water helps"
[Ash quickly noted carefully transferring her into the water filled tub]
"H-hey can —can you think a little better now..?"
[She carefully put a hand on her shoulder trying to ground her in some way]
Simon didn’t know what to do-
*Maya forced a small smile, breathing in and out slowly.*
"It feels... A-A bit better, I suppose...? I... Fuck..."
*She takes some water with her hand, splashing it on her face, seemingly calmer than before.*
"I... I don't even know why this is happening honestly...? I'm sorry..."
"No no—no no no quit apologizing it’s okay it’s not your fault I’m not upset with you at all!"

*Maya takes around half an hour to fully come back to her senses, and when she does, her apparence is altered substantially...*

The scientists screamed and yelped as she pounced
"TELL ME WHY ANY OF YOU THOUGHT IT WAS A REMOTELY GOOD IDEA TO TEST ON LENORE AND SIMON AFTER I WARNED YOU MULTIPLE TIMES THIS WOULD HAPPEN.."
[Ash’s claws started to clamp down on the scientist she was pinning skull..]
They helped providing no answer
"Ash, don't. It's useless."
*Maya walks in, slowly.*
"They don't answer, I tried multiple times. We're just... Too inferior to have an answer, I suppose."
*She sighs, closing her eyes for a second, as if getting ready.*
"But you're not the only one who warned them of what would happen, I did too. So it's hard to even-"
*Maya jumps forward, tail wrapping around the neck of one scientists while she grabs a second one with all four arms, two keeping the person in place, the other two digging into their flesh.*
"-feel too bad about this..."

[She twisted the scientists head in a inhuman direction before using the barbs on her tail to stab into the stomachs of two more]
"They’d do anything to get their captains approval.."
[she slammed her tail on the wall letting the scientists slowly slide down as they bled]
*Maya flings the already dead scientist from her tail onto another one like a ragdoll, pushing the one she just clawed onto the floor and dragging her hands down before pulling them out.*
"...Is it bad? That- That I'm enjoying this? I feel like it is."
*She looks at her hands conflicted for a second, before immediately grabbing the throat of another scientist and squeezing it until the bone cracks.*
One of the scientists shrieks going to run
[Ash’s eyes narrowed on the scientist using her tail to trip him before grabbing him by the hair and repeatedly slamming his head against the hard ground]
"I just try not to think about it too hard.. fucks with your brain if you do.."
[She finally released the now dead scientist sniffing the air to check for more]
"just remember if we do this we aren’t only saving our family.. we are saving many other potential subjects by doing this."
[Ash started walking deeper into the lab making sure Maya followed close behind]

*Maya nodded along, taking a second to breathe in and out, before following Ash.*
"You know, it's funny... I first got locked up because I got accused of something like this when I hadn't done it..."
*She grabs one of them by the coat, shoving him to the ground before stabbing his neck with the claws, then the legs so that he couldn't run, and immediately moved to the next person.*
"They called me a monster and a traitor, before I even looked like one."
*She grabs another scientist with her tail, bringing them to her. She holds them with all four arms, throwing them into another one, and then punching both at the same time by using the first one as a weapon of sorts.*
"But... None of that matters. They were never right. The reason I'm here right now is to protect the only people who truly care about me, you included... You know? Sorry if that doesn't make sense."
"You’ve done so much to help us.. thank you seriously.."
[Ash smiled softly before grabbing a vial of acid and throwing it at a scientist watching as they writhed in pain before eventually going still]
"Only a few more.."
[Ash grins as the scales on her tail began to glow. She lunged at a scientist digging her fangs into their neck before sinking her teeth in entirely and yanking back with a surprising force that caused their throat to gush]
"Aaaaalmost done now...!"
*Maya stretches, tail spinning playfully before once again snapping forward to take down 3 scientists at the same time by making them fall. She jumps on top of them, claws sinking into each of their chests, pulling out and letting them bleed, shoving their heads onto the floor to make them dizzier.*
"I think we're almost done now... I do want to know, however."
*She licks some of the blood off of her fingers, before an immediate wave of guilt hits and she just cleans them on a dead body instead.*
"...Are we going after Dave? And/or Ava? I mean... Dave in particular does upset me more than I'd like to admit..."
"If we attack the higher ups too fast it’ll fuck up our chances of escape.. we definitely will eventually.. but it’s too soon now.. it could risk everyone even more and we don’t want that."
[Ash wipes the blood off her face spitting the excess from her mouth]
"you know they used to call me Filaments reaper.. I killed over 20 Eden soldiers almost every time they invaded.. but I had to learn how to control that side of me and use that ability for good.”
[She looked around at the bloody massacre around them]
"I was in the C.O.I. for about four years after than they decided to turn me into…this.. I mean Ash isn’t even my real name.. it’s Valerie but I’m also not the same person anymore Valerie was then Ash is now."
"...Eden doesn't really exist where I came from, and the C.O.I. isn't this powerful either, so I'm not used to any of this stuff... What I am used to is the cruelty of humanity when it comes to achieving whatever they think is the best for the whole... No matter if a certain minority gets destroyed, or- In this case experimented with."
*Maya just sighs, looking at her altered body parts once again.*
"It's funny, this isn't even their fault though... Maybe the aggression, but the actual mutations are all light's doing... A-Anyways, I'm getting sidetracked again. I think we're done here. Should we go check on Simon and the kids?"

[She smiled quickly rushing out the door and to Simon]

"TELL ME WHY ANY OF YOU THOUGHT IT WAS A REMOTELY GOOD IDEA TO TEST ON LENORE AND SIMON AFTER I WARNED YOU MULTIPLE TIMES THIS WOULD HAPPEN.."
[Ash’s claws started to clamp down on the scientist she was pinning skull..]
They helped providing no answer
"Ash, don't. It's useless."
*Maya walks in, slowly.*
"They don't answer, I tried multiple times. We're just... Too inferior to have an answer, I suppose."
*She sighs, closing her eyes for a second, as if getting ready.*
"But you're not the only one who warned them of what would happen, I did too. So it's hard to even-"
*Maya jumps forward, tail wrapping around the neck of one scientists while she grabs a second one with all four arms, two keeping the person in place, the other two digging into their flesh.*
"-feel too bad about this..."

[She twisted the scientists head in a inhuman direction before using the barbs on her tail to stab into the stomachs of two more]
"They’d do anything to get their captains approval.."
[she slammed her tail on the wall letting the scientists slowly slide down as they bled]
*Maya flings the already dead scientist from her tail onto another one like a ragdoll, pushing the one she just clawed onto the floor and dragging her hands down before pulling them out.*
"...Is it bad? That- That I'm enjoying this? I feel like it is."
*She looks at her hands conflicted for a second, before immediately grabbing the throat of another scientist and squeezing it until the bone cracks.*
One of the scientists shrieks going to run
[Ash’s eyes narrowed on the scientist using her tail to trip him before grabbing him by the hair and repeatedly slamming his head against the hard ground]
"I just try not to think about it too hard.. fucks with your brain if you do.."
[She finally released the now dead scientist sniffing the air to check for more]
"just remember if we do this we aren’t only saving our family.. we are saving many other potential subjects by doing this."
[Ash started walking deeper into the lab making sure Maya followed close behind]

"You know, it's funny... I first got locked up because I got accused of something like this when I hadn't done it..."
*She grabs one of them by the coat, shoving him to the ground before stabbing his neck with the claws, then the legs so that he couldn't run, and immediately moved to the next person.*
"They called me a monster and a traitor, before I even looked like one."
*She grabs another scientist with her tail, bringing them to her. She holds them with all four arms, throwing them into another one, and then punching both at the same time by using the first one as a weapon of sorts.*
"But... None of that matters. They were never right. The reason I'm here right now is to protect the only people who truly care about me, you included... You know? Sorry if that doesn't make sense."
"You’ve done so much to help us.. thank you seriously.."
[Ash smiled softly before grabbing a vial of acid and throwing it at a scientist watching as they writhed in pain before eventually going still]
"Only a few more.."
[Ash grins as the scales on her tail began to glow. She lunged at a scientist digging her fangs into their neck before sinking her teeth in entirely and yanking back with a surprising force that caused their throat to gush]
"Aaaaalmost done now...!"
*Maya stretches, tail spinning playfully before once again snapping forward to take down 3 scientists at the same time by making them fall. She jumps on top of them, claws sinking into each of their chests, pulling out and letting them bleed, shoving their heads onto the floor to make them dizzier.*
"I think we're almost done now... I do want to know, however."
*She licks some of the blood off of her fingers, before an immediate wave of guilt hits and she just cleans them on a dead body instead.*
"...Are we going after Dave? And/or Ava? I mean... Dave in particular does upset me more than I'd like to admit..."
"If we attack the higher ups too fast it’ll fuck up our chances of escape.. we definitely will eventually.. but it’s too soon now.. it could risk everyone even more and we don’t want that."
[Ash wipes the blood off her face spitting the excess from her mouth]
"you know they used to call me Filaments reaper.. I killed over 20 Eden soldiers almost every time they invaded.. but I had to learn how to control that side of me and use that ability for good.”
[She looked around at the bloody massacre around them]
"I was in the C.O.I. for about four years after than they decided to turn me into…this.. I mean Ash isn’t even my real name.. it’s Valerie but I’m also not the same person anymore Valerie was then Ash is now."
"...Eden doesn't really exist where I came from, and the C.O.I. isn't this powerful either, so I'm not used to any of this stuff... What I am used to is the cruelty of humanity when it comes to achieving whatever they think is the best for the whole... She jumps on top of them, claws sinking into each of their chests, pulling out and letting them bleed, shoving their heads onto the floor to make them dizzier.*

*She licks some of the blood off of her fingers, before an immediate wave of guilt hits and she just cleans them on a dead body instead.*

[Ash explains]
"I’d say.. give it time to grow if the pain gets unbearable come see me I’m really good at surgical stuff"
“Ash. Whatever the fuck it is. I don’t want it in my arm anymore.”
"I can remove it now ..? If you’d prefer.. I’d just need to go get my medical supplies from my drawer"

[She stood up grabbing her medical supplies from her drawer]
"I’m going to numb your whole arm since I don’t really have anesthesia..”

Ash rammed into the lab her eyes narrowed on the scientists before tackling one pinning them on the ground. The spikes on her back were flared to full size making sure no one could attack her from behind
"DONT EVEN START WITH YOUR EXCUSES YOU KNOW DAMN WELL WHAT I SAID I WOULD DO IF YOU GUYS WENT REMOTELY NEAR MY FAMILY."

The scientists screamed and yelped as she pounced
"TELL ME WHY ANY OF YOU THOUGHT IT WAS A REMOTELY GOOD IDEA TO TEST ON LENORE AND SIMON AFTER I WARNED YOU MULTIPLE TIMES THIS WOULD HAPPEN.."
[Ash’s claws started to clamp down on the scientist she was pinning skull..]
They helped providing no answer
"Ash, don't. It's useless."
*Maya walks in, slowly.*
"They don't answer, I tried multiple times. We're just... Too inferior to have an answer, I suppose."
*She sighs, closing her eyes for a second, as if getting ready.*
"But you're not the only one who warned them of what would happen, I did too. So it's hard to even-"
*Maya jumps forward, tail wrapping around the neck of one scientists while she grabs a second one with all four arms, two keeping the person in place, the other two digging into their flesh.*
"-feel too bad about this..."

[She twisted the scientists head in a inhuman direction before using the barbs on her tail to stab into the stomachs of two more]
"They’d do anything to get their captains approval.."
[she slammed her tail on the wall letting the scientists slowly slide down as they bled]
*Maya flings the already dead scientist from her tail onto another one like a ragdoll, pushing the one she just clawed onto the floor and dragging her hands down before pulling them out.*
"...Is it bad? That- That I'm enjoying this? I feel like it is."
*She looks at her hands conflicted for a second, before immediately grabbing the throat of another scientist and squeezing it until the bone cracks.*
One of the scientists shrieks going to run
[Ash’s eyes narrowed on the scientist using her tail to trip him before grabbing him by the hair and repeatedly slamming his head against the hard ground]
"I just try not to think about it too hard.. fucks with your brain if you do.."
[She finally released the now dead scientist sniffing the air to check for more]
"just remember if we do this we aren’t only saving our family.. we are saving many other potential subjects by doing this."
[Ash started walking deeper into the lab making sure Maya followed close behind]

*Maya nodded along, taking a second to breathe in and out, before following Ash.*
"You know, it's funny... I first got locked up because I got accused of something like this when I hadn't done it..."
*She grabs one of them by the coat, shoving him to the ground before stabbing his neck with the claws, then the legs so that he couldn't run, and immediately moved to the next person.*
"They called me a monster and a traitor, before I even looked like one."
*She grabs another scientist with her tail, bringing them to her. She holds them with all four arms, throwing them into another one, and then punching both at the same time by using the first one as a weapon of sorts.*
"But... None of that matters. They were never right. The reason I'm here right now is to protect the only people who truly care about me, you included... You know? Sorry if that doesn't make sense."
"You’ve done so much to help us.. thank you seriously.."
[Ash smiled softly before grabbing a vial of acid and throwing it at a scientist watching as they writhed in pain before eventually going still]
"Only a few more.."
[Ash grins as the scales on her tail began to glow. She lunged at a scientist digging her fangs into their neck before sinking her teeth in entirely and yanking back with a surprising force that caused their throat to gush]
"Aaaaalmost done now...!"
*Maya stretches, tail spinning playfully before once again snapping forward to take down 3 scientists at the same time by making them fall. She jumps on top of them, claws sinking into each of their chests, pulling out and letting them bleed, shoving their heads onto the floor to make them dizzier.*
"I think we're almost done now... I do want to know, however."
*She licks some of the blood off of her fingers, before an immediate wave of guilt hits and she just cleans them on a dead body instead.*
"...Are we going after Dave? And/or Ava? I mean... Dave in particular does upset me more than I'd like to admit..."
"If we attack the higher ups too fast it’ll fuck up our chances of escape.. we definitely will eventually.. but it’s too soon now.. it could risk everyone even more and we don’t want that."
[Ash wipes the blood off her face spitting the excess from her mouth]
"you know they used to call me Filaments reaper.. I killed over 20 Eden soldiers almost every time they invaded.. but I had to learn how to control that side of me and use that ability for good.”
[She looked around at the bloody massacre around them]
"I was in the C.O.I. for about four years after than they decided to turn me into…this.. I mean Ash isn’t even my real name.. it’s Valerie but I’m also not the same person anymore Valerie was then Ash is now."
"...Eden doesn't really exist where I came from, and the C.O.I. isn't this powerful either, so I'm not used to any of this stuff... What I am used to is the cruelty of humanity when it comes to achieving whatever they think is the best for the whole... No matter if a certain minority gets destroyed, or- In this case experimented with."
*Maya just sighs, looking at her altered body parts once again.*
"It's funny, this isn't even their fault though... Maybe the aggression, but the actual mutations are all light's doing... A-Anyways, I'm getting sidetracked again. I think we're done here. Should we go check on Simon and the kids?"
“y-yeah let’s go .."
[She smiled quickly rushing out the door and to Simon]
"Simon..?!"
[She immediately flung herself into his arms as soon as she saw him]

*Maya arrived soon after, smiling softly and just admiring from a distance, weirdly proud of herself.*
"Hope we didn't take too long..."
“Nah, they’re going fine. Lenny is asleep. I just need to put this little one down…”
He lightly smiles
“Also…I think there’s something up with my mutated arm. It’s been hell if a lot irritated.”
"Shit... May I see? Well- Not sure if I'm the best doctor to check it out but-"
*She chuckles anxiously.*
"Just worried is all!"
“Yeah yeah here.” He holds out his arm
"Be gentle .. his mutated arm is more sensitive than the other"

*Maya gently takes Simon's arm onto her hands, touch featherlight as she analyzes it.*
