    The god l i n g e r s beside her, a dark chuckle heard only by herself falling from his darkened lips. He KNOWS that this man holds a spirit within him– remembers him. The silver woman does as well,   &   she merely smiles as eyes land on the MAGE. His words cause her smile to G R O W   &   she steps closer, the OLD GOD dissipating into the shadows of his own creation, so as to WANDER the hold by himself. For a brief moment, she feels HOLLOW, but then she feels his power stir within her, a flame that burns brightly   &   warms her very being. 

    Pale gaze finally lifts to the back of the man before her, the STIR of the Fade as he tends to an injured patient. The words cause her to H U M softly before a tinkling chuckle falls from pallid lips   &   shakes her head despite knowing he most likely would not SEE such a motion. She knows the mage, a face from the past, hardly an ACQUAINTANCE, but it is enough so as to allow a chuckle to escape her as she replies.

        ❝ No, I will not ADD to the work you have to do, Anders. There are many that require care, but I will not be one of them. ❞ Single brow QUIRKS. ❝ Although I will make mention that perhaps it is YOU that needs tending to. ❞

    HE’S WORKING HIMSELF DOWN TO THE BONE. There is no denying such a fact. As such, she releases a melodic hum as she steps CLOSER   &   stops beside him, looking down at the rebel before glancing at the blond man. Her gaze searches his, before it offers a smile as warm as the sun. She can S E E the weariness that weighs down ‘pon him, yet still he WORKS tirelessly. It’s commendable, she will admit to herself.

        ❝ We cannot have you collapse from FATIGUE. Will you not allow another to assist you? ❞

      it’s not difficult to see the effects that his persistence have had on him; his back may be turned, but the slouch in his shoulders, and the way his hands slow in their movements every so often are indicators enough that, above all else, the mage is tired. these were his duties, though, were they not? as per the decision reached by the inquisitor and their trusted advisors, he was to work with those that could not care for themselves. those that had been injured as a result of an unexpected ambush, those that were plagued with maladies from a recent venture ------ he had come across these cases and so many more in his time at the clinic ( years of his life that, once again, he had spent trying to better others ). his knowledge was invaluable, and his prowess for spirit healing was second to none. he did not care for this place, for these people, but it was either serve, submit, or face DEATH.

       ( had he a say in the matter, he might have chosen the latter. but that was neither here nor there, now. the inquisition had no intention of letting him go, now; ‘least, not until the matter of corypheus was taken care of, and all was made right once more. not by any means. and after that ----- well, who knew what would happen to him? ) 

       ❛  i’m alright, ebony.    there’s a reason they chose me for this.  ❜ 

       weary eyes finally make their appearance; the healing light emanating from his hands disappears as the aforementioned fall to his sides, and he himself turns to face her. a small, poorly-constructed smile finds its way to his features. she is one of the few that he has grown accustomed to, here ----- no, perhaps ‘fond of’ would be more appropriate a term. she hadn’t judged him from the start, had not looked upon him with disgust and horror upon learning his name, as so many of her ranks had. she’d given him a chance. and for that, anders thinks to himself, he is grateful.

       ❛  suppose i should have figured   you’d come to check-up on me,       though. if it’ll ease your mind any,       you can stay with me while i       work. i can’t say i need the assistance, though; after all,  i’m nearly       done here.  ❜

we did it kids. no, but seriously, this blog has come a long way since it’s conception in july of 2015. valeriu is my most successful character by far, and also my most adored ( i love this little shit, okay.) i’ve met some amazing writers here in DARP and created an amazing group verse with some of my closest friends. i likely wouldn’t be here, writing with you guys if it wasn’t for a certain someone convincing me to write valeriu into gehennam (you know who you are ;) ) since my birthday is coming up tomorrow, i thought i would spread a bunch of positive energy to a large handful of writers and friends that have stuck with me throughout the thick and thin. are you ready to get sappy, because i am.

(btw, before we go on, the art in the banner was made by the lovely phobs-y, whose concept of batu khan continues to provide insp for vali.)

@jehennam / @chalceum ; we gotta give ccredit where credit is due – hades is the creative mastermind behind vesuvius, behind gehennam. i wouldn’t even be on tumblr anymore if it wasn’t for him. you have made such a huge impact on my writing that it’s hard to ignore. you’ve inspired me to flex my world building skills, and you brought together something really great with the group verse. and you continue to be a positive force on my dash, i feel safe and inspired when you’re around, and i hope you know that i consider you an amazing friend, a talented writer, and a fantastic artist. 

@calisvol / @chodesh ; mmmm whatcha saaay. i know no one but me calls you kitty anymore, but i can’t stop calling yopu that because it’s how i’ve always known you. you are the most loyal, compassionate and supportive friends i’ve ever had, online or offline. i don’t know how you deal with my BPD ass but you do. you really do get me, and i hope that i’ve been mutual in the support given.  i’ve been honored with seeing you grow and change as both a writer and a person,and seeing your characters grow and change. you really need to expand your writing into the world, because you have some amazing ideas and stories up your sleeve that the world needs to read. heres to many more painful, exciting, gut-wrenching adventures to come.

@selfishisuppose ; gaaaaaay. you are my gay. you know, for the longest time, i could not for the life of me find a dorian pavus that would interact with poor vali. at first i thought there was a problem with my vint, but i think it was a matter of finding the right dorian. i don’t care what everyone else might say, you are my favorite dorian and you have provided so much development for vali. you’ve literally shaped my muse, i hope you know that, and dorian/valeriu is forever my endgame for darp. we’ve got a pretty awesome little ship and plot to go with it, and i hope you stick around for more.

@scytheforhire ; you deserve your place here on this list because you are just great. you have been nothing but supportive and loving towards me. i adore you and yun-wei, and i appreciate everything you have to bring to the table with your ideas, your experience, your knowledge about different cultures. we may not write as much as we should ( that will change i assure you ), but i love talking to you every day and just you keeping an eye on me. it makes me feel safe, and needed, and wanted ; and that’s something i really need in my life. even if i can’t always recuperate (and damn do i try to return it), i always want you to know that i care about you, and i will always be there when you need me, or try my damn best.

@khuravhi / @handsolos ; we only recently started talking, but i adore you. i realize that i’m not the best at returning replies (i suck i know) but do not ever mistake that for indifference. i admire you and your work, and all the hard work you put into it. i wish to be more involved within mehzi’s world in the future, and if you ever need help world building, you can always call on me. you are an extremely talented writer, a beautiful person and just. ugh. words cannot describe. keep up the good work, darling, and keep mehzi as the badass warrior princess she is (she can step on vali anyday)

@voshul ; aaah yes the relian. remmber when i mispselled his name as reilan. those were the days. i really admire everything youve done with your character, and i hope you keep him around forever because DAYMN, that is some amazing character design development. you are an amzingly talented artist and i just drool whenever i see your dragon concepts (i have to draw relian one day, because dragons are just about the only thing i can draw well)  also relian/vali makes me so happy, vali loves dragon man, and i can’t believe they met through vali booping the dragon snoot. it’s great. i love it.

@aithreachas ; i second the fact that atreus might as well be a canon character because hes so well thought out. you’ve done a great job with him and honestly? bioware should hire you to help create character concepts. vali and atrues’ relationship was so shocking to me, i never expected them to become suc good friends. it’s freshing, actually, to have a mage/templar friendship.

this is just a friendly psa letting you guys know that as of saturday, january 30th, the new semester of college starts for me, so i definitely won’t be much here ( even though i haven’t been around a lot as it is and w eeps i’m sorry for that ). you’re going to start seeing a lot of queued posts/replies within the next couple of days; i’m aiming for two a day, but depending on how much i can get done, that might change. until i get a feel for my classes ( and i’m expecting the worst because i’m taking 3 level 400 classes all at once lmao lay me down ) and how difficult they’re actually going to be, i’m not going to be spending a whole lot of time here. i mean, i’ll be on when i have the opportunity ( and i am definitely going to try and get on here more when i can, my tree son is important ), but that’s probably not going to be the case a lot of the time. this is my final semester of college and i have to make sure i ace every one of the classes i’m taking so that i can graduate, so grades are 300x more important this time around.

anyway! i just wanted to give you guys a heads up, and tell you all that i love you all.
