Oh look and what spilled from me just looking at this picture!

It was a rare day off for Anders. It was no joke being one of the few doctors at the clinic. Between that and his papers on combining modern medical practices with magic, he was a busy man.

But today…today he was free. No obligations. No patients. No deadlines. Just him and Pounce and 24 hours.

A walk had seemed like the perfect idea. Sunny skies, cool breeze, trees slowly changing color. The park down the street from his flat was lovely and empty - all the children in class. A perfect place to simply be, to simply breathe for a moment.

The swing set called to him. Who didn’t feel the urge to sit and fly, legs pumping as your body swung higher and higher? Anders didn’t know if anybody could walk by a swing set and not sit down. Which he did, giving a little push to start…the little push morphing in gradually faster leg pumps until he was grinning into the wind, scarf fluttering with each glide up and down.

Freedom in the wind, in the sun on his face, in the smell of damp leaves. Freedom to simply Be. A rare day…and one worth taking.
